Stupid new jib trend: No Gloves
So maybe it's just Whistler, but I've noticed more than a few young jib punks not wearing gloves/mitts. And I'm not talking sunny spring time action, I'm talking about stormy cold days. Super long sleeves hanging down over their hands, but no gloves. Just when you though you'd seen the stupidest thing....

Yup, come to think of it, I saw this the other day at Stowe. And all I could think to myself was just how fucking dumb that is. Wow.

This might explain why I kept seeing teenagers skiing with their hands in their pockets last weekend at Loveland.
Change is good. You go first.

Logical evolution from no poles.
Also, yesterday, liftie to park rat wearing a butt ugly tall tee with billiard balls on it:
"Nice skirt buddy"
I laughed

It's difficult to have a proper safety meeting wearing gloves.

the jib look seems to be going from gangster style towards homeless person style. It makes me laugh for the most part. Kind of like people who wear novelty helmet covers....

Saw this same thing today and also thought it was stupid. Guy had his sleeves extending about 1 foot over his hands, which were holding his rinky-dink little poles. Never would have known if he didn't blow his nose in the lift line.
And I also thought about how these park rats look like homeless people.
Strange to be skiing 3000km apart yet still having the same thoughts about the wannabe gangsters in the liftline.

Do you guys ever think that MOST people that don't ski think it's retarded to go out in the snow and be cold all day to walk up a hill to ski down it?
When you stop and think about it, it's pretty much the same.
People do lots of dumb things for fun.....in fact, some of THE dumbest things ARE the most fun.
Crazy, right?

Sure, there is a lot of dumb shit that is fun, can't argue with that, but what the fuck is fun about not wearing gloves? "Man we had such a kick ass day, I spent the whole day not wearing gloves, it was fucking sick"
What about the non-thermic protection gloves provide? Even if I'm skiing in just a t-shirt, I got gloves on. Same reason I mountain bike in gloves, if you go down, your hands almost always hit ground, shit gets cut.

Bite my steeze: No pants.
I rock only a tall tee and leggings. Kind of like park rat meets aerobics instructor.Do you by chance happen to own a large, yellowish, very flat cat?

My hands always get cold before my face, or at least it bother me more. Someone mentioned people doing this on balls ass cold days, when yes I may wear a balaclava or something.
Again I fail to see why intentionally not wearing gloves is in anyway fun. Even stuff that may not be fun for me, I can still acknowledge why someone would like it.
Either way, don't really care what anyone does, but it's no different than the guy with the boots on the wrong feet or jeans tucked in, it's fucking stupid of them and funny to me at the same time.
The only thing more fun than using made up (and probably incorrect) words like non-thermic involves your mom, a gallon jug of Thousand Island dressing and 3 ping pong paddles. Yes, I always wear gloves during this as well, for non-thermic reasons of course.
