Jackson Hole Jan 25th - 28th
Headed down to JH then. Does anyone know of anything going on during those dates? Hopefully the snow gets better. 30th birthday present to myself should be a blast.

all I can add is that i am going to FL the 22nd and ever since my wife booked the tickets I have been predicting great snow in my absence.
You can thank me later.

I don't believe in long term forecasts but they say the Rockies are supposed to finally see some good size storms the last week of January. not sure where Jackson sits on that menu though, heh.
In absence of snow, I'll buy ya a beer as a birthday consolation prize if i'm around

Well if my luck holds true... the last time I was down there was two years ago during that week they had about 4 or 5 18" dumps a day. It was the deepest pow I've ever skied. There will be plenty of beer drinking I assure you

I was there the same 14 day period in end Jan 2000 (was that El Nino?) and also 2005 and had 12 out of 14 days snow on the first one and then on second had 9 out of 1 4 days snow. Hoping I get the same luck and the flood gates eventually open. Put it this way its very unusual for there to not be a period of 2/3 weeks of unsettled weather this time of year in the Tetons.

There is a new Ice climbing park at Grand Targhee, you could do a 1/2 day skiing, and the other 1/2 on ice.
