Maggot House Swap Thread
Bumping and Edited because we want to go to San Diego October 24-29th anyone? or anywhere else at anytime?
UPDATE:
There is now a shared Google Document where all of this information can be accessed easily.
ALSO: Looking for a place in San Francisco, San Jose, or Santa Cruz from the dates around July 15-20. Let me know if you want a Santa Fe vacation.
https://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0A...1xa2pnbQ&hl=en
If you are adding a new listing please also post the information in this thread as well as within this document. If you posted in the first few pages of the thread your information is probably on the list already, but edit to make it complete. Be as thorough as possible, but keep in mind this is a publicly viewed document, so don't put anything here that could compromise your security!
I've been thinking about this for a while.
A lot of us live in pretty desirable places, like to travel, and may not have the means ($$) to rent a place for a vacation.
Well, I'd be open to swap my house for somewhere else. maybe nearby for an upcoming weekend? maybe somewhere exotic for a longer trip? Whatever! If you have any input if this is a good idea, a bad idea or ways to structure it, please feel free to chime in.
I live in Durango. 'nuff said
I'd like to go to:
Anywhere in CO soon...like for a weekend.
SLC. duh.
MAUI.
VT?
WA?
OR?

Anyone got a beach side home in Mexico or Central America and want to spend some Q/T at Chez Rev in Hailey, ID (greater Sun Valley area)? Huh? YEAH!

I think it's a great idea! Not sure anyone will clammering for my fine domicile in sunny Cochrane Alberta but I'm open to offers. (1.5 hours to lake louise a little over an hour to sunshine)

Maybe somebody can put up a spreadsheet in Hook Ups or somewhere. My wife was using a spreadsheet program that allowed users to make changes themselves online, she's asleep right now but I'll try to remember to get the name tomorrow.

I have a lame location for skiing, but good for road biking and walking to restaurants! Goooo peninsula! I can't imagine who would want to visit a place that is "sort of close" to really cool places like Napa, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Etc. but maybe someone has family here?
Anyway, this sounds like a job for google wave IMHO, get on board people!

This is a great idea and one that should be fostered; however, we have a thread somewhere and from years ago that attempted to accomplish the same thing. If someone finds a link it may open up a few extra opportunities.
I would certainly add a home in Seattle and a great timeshare in Cabo where I have heard the skiing is second to none.

I'd trade with you anytime for a long weekend. Can you get to the city (sf) from your place on a bus/train?
or, do you have a car we could use?
you could come use our house whenever. our car too. Plus, I know who you are (in real life) so I know you won't steal my drugs, porn or fine china!*
I'm serious. watch jetsetweekends and see if there is a good deal for travelling down here, I'll do the same. lets pick a weekend.

I would consider this after talking to wife. 3BD/3BA (3K sq ft) + 5 seat hot tub on the deck in Park City area - it is a 7 minute drive to Canyons, 11 to PC and 40 to Alta. Can we trade dogs as well? I hate to travel with them all the time. They like to eat and sleep - so rather normal dogs.

Yeah, i have a (old) dog and a cat.
mtnreed let me know if santa fe would be a trip you'd be interested in taking.
people from denver/boulder/golden are encouraged to come to santa fe. we want to visit some friends up there. that would make an easy weekend trip.

How YOU doin?
Saw your ad on TGR. I'm a jetset single guy with a pad in Tahoe that I only use for the weekends during the season. Let me know what arrangements you have in mind. I work as an International Business Executive in the Entertainment Industry and am rarely in one place more than two weeks at a time.
Let me know if you like what you see.
xoxo,

PS. You're also welcome to use my other properties in New York, Vegas, Sydney, Honolulu and Geneva but that would be extra.
