Anyone tried the Elan fats??
The ALU 999 and 1010's look interesting.
They always had good race stuff, but never put any bucks into marketing.In order to properly convert this thread to a polyasshat thread to more fully enrage the liberal left frequenting here...... (insert latest democratic blunder of your choice).

There were a few demo-reviews from last spring on the 1010 and Boomerang, but no long term reviews that I have seen. If they could make the 1010 anything like the old 777, it would kick ass.
I've secretly lusted after a pair of 165 SLXs for many years now.It doesn't matter if you're a king or a little street sweeper...

if I buy new skis this year I will be getting 999s.
I had a pair of the 666 a bunch of years back. super-fun ski, damp with a good amount of rebound, bomber in junky snow. I've heard from a couple people I trust that the 999 has that same feel just made bigger.
