    Hakuba SC TR

Had some stable snow finally after some pretty big storms. We got out there and got some nice lines in. The pit I dug just showed a pretty stable snow pack right now. Looked like the 2 top layers at 30 to 60 cms down where showing some decomposing facets. That Said I had to pry the snow off to get it to move.
The pics aren't great. Still over exposing things with my new camera but hope they are ok.

    Looks super nice.

Not to hijack, but I'm thinking about taking my 7-year-old son to Japow this spring(early-mid April). My son said he wanted to go somewhere that the people look and talk different and after considering some options like Thailand/Laos/Vietnam(too hot) I checked out Japan and it seems really cool. I've done some research on Tokyo and Kyoto. I haven't even begun to research the more rural areas. Tokyo seems like the pricing would be the same as a trip to London, N.Y., etc.? Is that pretty much the case? What about outside Tokyo? We'd probably do the train thing even though I usually totally prefer the freedom that a car offers. Would renting a car be a pain not knowing the language?

Sorry again about the hijack but I figured I'd get you guys while you're around.

Our morning has only started and most of us will waste the workday on this site or Poachninja...

My experience with hotels and food is that Japan would actually be cheaper than a trip to London but the cheaper hotels may be a bit cramped for a familly (at least the ones in central Tokyo). Outside Tokyo, especially more rural towns, will be cheap as chips from my experience. Renting a car is easy but driving/parking is not and road tolls are high. As a tourist you can get a rail pass and travel all the JR trains for a fixed fee, including the bullet trains. The train system is so intricate that it is not limiting not to have a car. I only have one because of skiing and carting around equipment. If you pm more details of what you want to see/do where you want to go and when and for how long I could help more. Jeff

PS. You could do a straightline camp here. Hohes could use some tips on his skiing

    Stunts are you back?
I'm sure Tahoe was a blast!
I know I got a few good shots due to the light but some of the other shots were low quality when compared to people with even remote skills.
