The interview with Dean was pretty cool, didn't realize how old Rob Eaton is. He's gotta be over 60 hearing him talk about getting Europe '72 when it came out.

DSO adding to their Soundcloud page weekly, today's drop is the first show Rob Baracco played with them. Forgot how much I enjoyed John and Rob signing together.

DSO re-creating the Maine State Fairground show 40th anniversary from 9-6-80 Lewiston, Maine as a drive-in show in Philly. A legend of a show that is one of my favorites. Real shame they couldn’t bring this back to the original field in the Great State ‘O Maine! That would be a show! Oh well, Covid casualty I guess... Hope they stream it at least.

Been listening to a bunch of DSO shows from Fall '09 leading up to JK leaving to join Furthur. Some real smokers.

DSO has plenty of listen-ability for me, unlike Dead & Co who I can only really take when I saw them live. In fact it wouldn't bother me if we've seen the last of them unless they want to part ways with Irving Azoff and the Live Nation/Ticketfucker empire.

I heard the one in NH last weekend was great, they had a PA system so you didn't have to tune the car radio. Foliage was popping, show was in a field, plenty of room to dance. My friends that went said they would go to a show like that even without covid. Since we're fackin old now

Kicking myself for not going to that one, Swanzy fairgrounds are a half hour from my place, couldn’t get anyone to commit to it. Too pricey for just one person. Sounds ideal, so bummed!

What a great fucking night! Great weather at 2,000’, cool and breezy, perfect for a southern Vermont hippie throw down. Western Mass and southern VT are still keeping it real and they represented hard last night, place was going off, no joke.
Elective set but straight out of late ‘78 and or early ‘79, opened with a 15 minute Shakedown, so many highlights in both sets including Lisa doing a great version of Sunrise. Peggy-0 was incredible, lazy lightning>supplication built to a massive peak. Help>Slip>Frank second set opener, techno drums followed by a Close Encounters space, The Wheel, Iko, St Stephen, Morning Dew, so many Jerry bangers!
One of the loudest shows I’ve seen in a long time. Jeff has a new rig, looks like Tiger but it’s the Wooly Mammoth, it’s so cool!
Go see DSO!
