    Mammoth New Year's Weekend 2010

Hey, how come there isn't an OFFICIAL MAMMOTH 09-10 thread like a lot of other TGR regional threads?

I digress. I'm gonna be down there Thurs-Sun.

Who's around? Who wants to get rowdy? Who wants to tour? Who wants to camp overnight on the crest? Discuss.

    PS - 45hill I owe you a pitcher-a-beer for your NLCS2009 Champerinos.

    Divegirl and I are!
We are staying with asandygal and skier110(howeverthefucktallmammothis). Will probably be hitting the resort Thursday but am totally up for touring Friday and Saturday morning (need to drive back up to Tahoe Saturday so would be up for more northerly BC that day - like June Lake, Lee Vining, or Bridgeport area).

It's still low tide most places. The Crest is your best bet. Watch out, don't get hurt, and have p-text handy.

I'll be there Fri, Sat, and Sun with the family, so no touring, but am up for making some turns together on the hill. (I can only ski with the family so long before I go crazy)

We're around now through Sunday. Down for either lift-served or a tour. Give us a holler.

Lego, DG, Kuba, V, and Gonzo ... will be inbounds on Thursday. I'll PM for yer numbers.

A friend from LA and I had also talked about skinning out to the crest, drop packs, ski, and then camp overnight ... not sure where yet or which day. Could be Friday or Saturday. If it's Saturday then I'm skiing inbounds on Friday as well.

Gonzo you and SSD should start a Possible Restrictions on Rt 395 thread and get basom to fly out here as well ... then you know we'll get a good dump

It depends on what you are looking for, there are some great green runs on Sesame Street

Steeps...go to the top, or chairs 22 or 23. Head out Dragons Back for more committed terrain. Lots of park features and the pipes should be done (if you are into that) Trees all over the hill are good if it is snowing.

Bets bet is to hook up with some maggots and enjoy. I won't be there 'til Friday.

I think we're going to burn Woolly Mammoth in effigy to summon the snow gods instead, but I'll bring my flame retardant socks just in case.

Got up last night, today was surprisingly good. Top was windpacked and smooth, not what I expected after the 5" reported overnight.

So I guess we're staying at the Holiday Haus near the Village. No idea what we're doing on Thursday night ... apart from getting r0wDy!

FKNA it's been a while since I've been here in tgr land! I'm so excited for Mammoth!!
Definitely inbounds on Thursday, skinning on Friday/Sat. We're arriving tomorrow night. And rowdy? Who, us? Meheheheh. Bring it on. We are hauling 2 magnums of champagne with us (from the wedding...didn't get drunk for some odd reason). And we're stayin' with sandy.
Hope to see y'all at some point.
