ha - what time? i was riding solo too - around 2 - 3:00 pm. passed one dude solo heading up out of the valley through the redwoods. was that you? when did you lose your chain?

No, I was there between 9-11am. I broke a derailleur hanger about a third of the way through the loop. It was the second time this month I've had a drivetrain issue there and had to coast back, so I'm used to it.

Actually, it looks like that trail involves riding uphill, so Bill is likely out. I'm down though.
