It is supposed to ramp up today, not forcasting a big dump. High winds with single digits will be tough. Zero base, before the rain and warm temps over last weekend the ski areas were trying to make up for lost time.

I plan to go up Tuesday and see how it is. Probably be looking better by Thursday.

    Not that I know of.

Years ago we scoped the gasline down off the mtn but when there is enough snow youd probably need a helio to get there.

Hopefully things finally cycle up and off-piste/BC can get into play by MLK weekend. 6 inches of hyper-light fluff on bare ground won't cut it.

Rodger that, the Turkeystorm was to be only 2-3" and ended up being 12" or more in select locations.

Canaan valley resort would put you in the valley and have eating options. Roads are China white rite now with wind induced whiteouts possible. Drive safe.

^well I decided not to make the trip, nagging cold and wind chills of -20. Long range models have something coming up the coast next week. Scotty, it looked cold on the web cams. How was it?

    Brutality

Thursday may be a balmy 10.

I saw base temp of 3F and the occasional 30+mph breeze.

Friends told me WG was nice once you got into da treez.

    Footplus, superdryandlite pow.

    Still snowing btw.

Made it up to Blue mountain on Saturday for 1st chair, they got about 7-8" of medium dense snow. Skied for 2 hours until the bus crowds invaded. Anywhere from 10-24" on deck Mon/Tues. Git sum wherever you can.
