Semi official ski gathering party at Laurel Mountain PA Feb 1-3rd. I'll be there with my teenage son Saturday the 2nd.. New job's trying to get in the way but we'll see if I can keep my schedule free Friday afternoon to drive up. There's info on the other forums about the details. Think there may be some cabins available to rent at the state park and motels about 30 miles away.. nothing slopeside.

LaurelHillCrazy on PugSki and DCSki has the details.

Packed for Laurel Mountain. Driving up today, staying at Linn Run State Park over the weekend to ski Laurel for the first time. Looks like the weather will be pretty good now.

I didn't stop to take photos but teenager did run my GoPro a few times. It was a whole lotta geezer fun at Laurel Mountain Saturday. Someone said Lower Wildcat is the steepest Mid Atlantic run. I'm going to say I didn't get that impression. Extrovert at BK and Whoopdeedoo at Sugar are just as steep IMO. It was pretty "firm" Saturday. All the new snow was scraped off by the time I got to it.

    DC Ski vs Wildcat

    This one was definitely steeper.

^ NO, its not. All debated and hairs split on the NC board before you were born. AxisX (?) brought an inclinometer to all the SE resorts took measurements. the first few hundred feet on bolderdash took the prize, I think he got 38 vs. 35 on yer slope. it was a long time ago and pointless at that, but he did settle it.

Boulderdash has about MAYBE?? 50 feet of get your attention steep. But, a snow whale on Tom can be steeper. I have a slopemeter in my bot bag but never bothered to actually use it. Too busy skiing to try to prove unprovable, meaningless dick waving banter.

Even with solid google earth objective evidence the PA folks would then say that Sugar isn't "Mid Atlantic".. it's "SouthEast" hahahaha.

The important part of the trip other than skiing with geezers was getting a new sticker for my ski box and some legit fireworks to restock my celebration arsenal/stockpile.

The latest in the Tline blues, looks like Dr Fred got caught with his hand on the crank of the pill mill.

Tweakerline gets most Interdasting by the minute, sounds like RICO may be brought in and the property seized if the feds think the business was used to launder pill/sex money.

Chance of snow on Wed but the rain is really hitting hard.

Think I will do a WV resident ticket at CVR on Wed and hit up the Shoe on Thurs.
