Ruby Mountains, NE Nevada
http://www.helicopterskiing.com/gall...0483761550.jpg
I have learned that I have a small plot of land somewhere outside Winnemucca, Nevada, that my granddad, for whatever reason, snatched up a helluva long time ago. So I began some looking into things and it seems there may even be some decent fishing (Humboldt, Little Humboldt rivers) nearby, probably some decent climbing/camping and HELI-SKIING IN THE RUBY MOUNTAINS.
This may be worth dropping a trailer out there in nowheresville for some serious Get-the-hell-away-from-it-all time when I need it. If anybody knows anything interesting about the area, feel free to chime in.

Just make sure that trailer is big enough for all your new "internet friends."

That's a neat place. Haven't been through in over 10 years. Mountain City is nearby, off of the 225, I think. I explored that area the last time I visited the region. If you're seeking some time by yourself, you will definitely get it there. You'll also be close to Burning Man.
Daniel Ortega eats here.

Be a good spot for a meth lab, too.

I'm glad we finally figured out where iceman's been hiding his meth lab.

Next time you'll think twice before pointing out a good location for a meth lab.

Meth labs? You want meth labs? Try Granite Falls, WA or Pierce County, WA.
Washington State lead the way for meth labs, you losers.

Now we know where two of Buster's meth labs are, anyone else want to out themselves? Can someone page John Ashcroft?

As far as Meth Labs go, I've heard good things about Grand Jct. CO.
I went on a trip to the Rubies this past spring to harvest that sweet corn. Got dumped on by a winter storm and our skiing plans got kinda screwed.
Beautiful, rugged range. East Humbolts (just N of the rubies) are impressive as well. Access to the range can be tricky due to private land...only a few trailheads exist. Also, Lamoille canyon is the only road up there and it's a sledneck paradise. But it's still eastern Nevada, so it's not THAT crowded.
PM me and I'll share the beta I have. A guy over at Ttips.com hooked me up bigtime.
