Is it bad to leave skins on skis?

I searched, didn't see anything addressing this question...

Is there any problem with leaving skins on my skis until next time i go skiing? Could be a week or two until we have more snow. I'm kinda new to skinning.

Will the glue become a problem?

Usually you skin up and then ski down without skins. Why would your skins be on the skis at the end of the day? You should let them dry.

yeah, true that usually they are off the skis when you're done skiing. SO it's typically not an issue. I actually just got new skis/skins and just cut them, then left them on the skis so they're ready to go whenever we get fresh snow. Then i got nervous thinking maybe i should take them off. Then i was just generally curious for my own knowledge.

Not a clear answer so far then (to the original question)? Not a big deal, i'll just take them off. Still curious though.

I store ski's with skins on. It is not a problem with glue or otherwise. Makes it less likely that skins will be forgotten, or misplaced.

I have left them on my skis with skins on in the roof box so they are ready to go. No ill effects. After a while, the skins will unstick. Only negative effect I could see is if you let them get too hot... and of course it'll stretch the skins out a bit (not a problem when using STS).

If its cold, then its not a problem. If htye get left in a warm environment, you'll be cleaning glue off, which is a real PITA.
