The quarters, semis, and final at Sunset may go bigger than earlier in the contest (that was the biggest ever for the event).

The winner of that comp will definitely earn the victory. Sunny is still in the hunt. So is Pancho.

I'm currently waiting on the call for the O'neil....should be interesting. I checked a bunch of cams on surfline.....nothing seemed too large, but then again I have no idea where to check.

Bump for Excellent article about the swells and weather, I can hear Jaws pounding right now lying in bed. Cool to think of where I sit in relation to the swell!

Gotta mean some big snow too!

    Almost here....

...HIGH SURF WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM HST WEDNESDAY...

SURF ALONG NORTH FACING SHORES WILL INCREASE RAPIDLY TONIGHT...
REACHING 30 TO 40 FEET WITH 50 FOOT SETS ON THE OUTER REEFS
MONDAY. THE HIGH SURF...COMBINED WITH A TWO FOOT HIGH TIDE LATE
SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY MORNING...WILL INCREASE THE CHANCE OF
WAVES WASHING ONTO ROADS AND PROPERTY ALONG THE IMMEDIATE COAST.

    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH SURF WARNING INDICATES THAT DANGEROUS...BATTERING WAVES
WILL POUND THE SHORELINE. THIS WILL RESULT IN VERY DANGEROUS
    SWIMMING CONDITIONS...AND DEADLY RIP CURRENTS.

    90% chance of ON tommorrow.

currently, massive, building, heaving 20-40ft faces..
    bout 20 takers
direction missing the boil, so not lineing up.
biggest sets miss the reef then build into meg-death accross the bay closesouts.

And will be tomorrow! I live a half mile up from K bay and I have never heard it POUND louder. Endless rolls of thunder, crashing and roar.
Will ride the MTB down at dawn, before the crowds pile in.

I hear ya,but this intense ridge of Arctic high sitting on BC is keeping the nice intense lows at bay, perfect for Hawaii surf and sucks balls for us,but The Eddie could be unreal tomorrow, they will get the size but it's the winds that matter and they are looking sweet, could be all time

Eddie was a rad dude who I am bummed I never got to meet. My parents hung out with him and his brother Uncle Clyde and the rest of the Aikau Ohana at the Chinese graveyard where they lived on O`ahu a lot in the 70s. My mom was pregnant with me when he disappeared from the Hokule`a and they spent days walking the beaches of Lana`i looking for him.

Never seen the Eddie go down, but seen plenty of pictures. Hope it goes down today that would be insane!
