Unreal. Bombing all day, only one small lull in one heat. Round 2 final heat was all time. Ocean was pumping. Two 100 pt rides came out of that heat. Set after set were all bombs, bigger than the last. How good will the beers taste tonight.

Now pipe will be firing all week.

That was my first time being tuned into the Eddie and it was truly an amazing event. I guess technically it was a contest but that was just a backdrop for a much more dominant force. It sure got crazy toward the end- Waimea Bay was PUMPING HUGE.

Try KITV (google it - pretty easy to find). I'm having good luck with it but I am watching on my iPhone. YMMV...

I'm a fan of Mav's but this is unreal by comparison. Slater with the inside tube ride was pretty sweet.

The difference is they wait for the Eddie. Mavs they just go and the last several seasons were run in average conditions.

That was fun yesterday. Difficult to get much work done. Watching those skis running away from that giant close-out was freaking awesome.

I showed my wife the video and she was wondering why they were running away, then I came across this image by Clark Little and showed her....
