Wow 16 model aircraft engines. This is a hobby that I've let go dormant but hope to get back into it when my stepson is a few years older. He likes to build. I like to fly, but increasingly I've become more interested in building so I might come at it from a different angle the second time.

I finally got the tiller started, in my defense, I couldn't get it going last year. Pretty sure it was a spark issue. She fired right up this year....... after 70... fucking.... years... So there's that.

That tiller, wow. My mom inherited one from my grandparents' farm (my grandma's garden, really) with that exact engine--same colors, same fading. 1950 seems about right. We used it every year for a long time. I'm going to have to ask what became of it now. I can hear it just looking. Thanks for posting that!

It was grandpa's. He was notorious for fashioning shit out of stuff he found on the side of the road, hense the drive belt retainer. It reeks of axle grease and probably makes 2 psi of compression, but I squeeze out a few tears every time I use it.
