    35 minutes of McConkey video

I was just wasting some time not studying today, when I came across this video someone just uploaded. It's McConkey's segments from what appears to be Focused, Yearbook, 7 Sunny Days, and In Deep. I'm always surprised by the number of skiers I talk to who haven't seen some of these clips of what is almost entirely McConkey and JT ski BASEing, so I thought Id share what I found.

Grab a beer before you start watching, you might not get out of your chair for a while...

THAT IS STOKE OF THE HIGHEST ORDER

Hope that is archived on some mags server, cause we won't see the likes of that man again for a while. Good to see it all in one place for free. Rock the Fuck on SMcC

The low altitude shit was fun to see. Knew he wouldn't die because he had hit it without the chute, but didn't know quite yet what the chute could do. You can tell he was stoked on the outcome.
Education must be the answer, we've tried ignorance and it doesn't work!

Man....I've never even met Shane and I seriously feel like I lost my best friend. I cannot even imagine what his family and friends are going through right now. No one has done more for the progression of our sport than this man, and he was definately a one of a kind person that can never be replaced. Love and miss ya Shane, see ya on the other side buddy.

That's sweet, but it misses two of the best McConkey clips ever.

    1) The Claim seggy which was hands down the best.
    2) The Townsend-Mentor seggy from the second disc of the Hit List. Literally laugh out loud.

    Thanks tho!

wow I missed that 'the spy who loved me' skit somehow. Awesome, it was my favorite movie growing up. Hot chicks, ski base, amphibious vehicles. What more could you ask for? I will never forget when I saw him ski that AK slope on real waterskis. Changed my life forever. Freshman year of college.

Its amazing that to never actually meet someone and how they can have such a profound impact on ho you decide to live your life.

    thanks Shane.

    Haven't watched it yet -- but --

does it include the clip with Shane dumping huge amounts of climbing and mountaineering equipment on Brant Moles, telling him it's what he needs to be a hot shit extreeeeeeem skier? I always think of that one as classic McConkey.
