pretty fucking sweet. pretty damn inspirational too.
Nothing is more dangerous to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure.

I can't quite tell from the pictures. Are those Dynafit rigs?
By homemade fleece, do you think they mean Goretex PRO or XCR?
What I learned: Gotta remember to lock down the heel when using moose as group leaders.

WOW. that is definitely the adventure of a lifetime, and such an unreal setting. I can't imagine planning that entire adventure, although I would love to do something like that during my lifetime.

Wow. Just wow. Between that and the avi-to-base-camp pic, this TR just murders it in cold blood.
When I read it and saw the pic of the dude eating the canned food they salvaged from a bear-destroyed mining camp I thught about the "How long will this Powerade last in my car" thread from a while back and laughed my ass off.Last edited by DoWork; 11-19-2009 at 09:00 AM.

"protected only by a snow picket, now half a rope length below me" It must have been hard to climb with those giant brass balls between his legs.
If it wasn't for douchebags there'd be douche all over the place.

Very nice. I bet the writer could have easily expanded that into a full book. If you do like that type of stuff, David Roberts is a climber and writer that has a few books that are similar. "Mountain of my Fear" and "Deborah" are both great reads.
