I haven't tried this yet, but just to check: if I tilt sideways more than 45 degrees, do I HAVE to stop the watch immediately or can I fall over first?
You really need to stop knowing WTF you're talking about. (Tippster)

      All day.....

But I tele with my eyes closed half the time so I must be used to it. Walking without falling is a whole 'nother story.

39s on the left, 1:08 on the right. I think I have to work on my left leg.

I don't need a test to tell me my balance is for shit. My PT guy just shook hid head and walked away. At least I try to do one leg balance every time I take off my shoes.

Can stand forever with my eyes open. All goes to shit when I close my eyes.

But I am a very visual person. Well, that's what I tell my girlfriend when she catches me watching teh porns.

Doing this in Birkenstocks.....I can REALLY feel my feet doing the balancing, not much in the legs...ankle waves a bit back and forth, big toe really doing a lot of work to stay balanced as well as ball of foot. Feel a little in the calf but mostly foot.

I know it says to use closed shoes....but I wanted to try anyway.

So, another question arises, why am I using my foot and toe so much for balance? I know when I get backseat, the toes drive it seems, holding on for dear life.

so i decided to cut off my big toe to make it a little harder

2 minutes each leg, opened my eyes as my quad was beginning to get sore, and decided to stop. huh. yoga works.

Over a minute on the right leg, 29 seconds on the left after a few trys, but that is the leg I am rehabbing my ACL on, guess I need to do somemore balance work on it to get it evened out again. I did notice that my balance was getting better the longer I held it,the muscles seemed to calm down down and not react as much to stay in balance, however the quads started to go after a while.

Heh, when I first tried it, I could get to like 15 seconds, and then realised I'm wearing heels that wobble pretty easily.

Barefoot, I got bored after about 1:45 and quit. But it's definitely easier on my right leg than my left. I should work on that.

I'll have to actually try it in normal shoes.

Definitely stop the watch, THEN fall on your ass.

Noticed the same thing Buzz felt - seems like it was my toes and heel that were doing the controlling. Either way, 35s on the left and 25s on the right. When I stretch my quads after working out, I don't use a wall for supporting my balance and pretty much mimic this exercise minus the eyes closed ... guessing that helps quite a bit.
