I guess I'm just a simpleton. I'd want to see smithing like the first bit of Briggs's grand Teton descent. Schmidt's Warren Miller Ski Country Squaw session that broke him into the scene. Anyone of the Stump sessions that followed. McConkeys naked Vail mogul comp poach backflip.

Beyond stuff like that I'd go for geologic or astronomical events.

That would be something but I'd only would want to watch any of these battles from a serious distance.
The carnage would be impossible for me to watch up close.

Scipio had used trumpets to fuck up the elephant formations...Bloody Romans
This would be a good one to watch so you could ask him why the hell he isn’t marching on Rome.

IMO I think he was smart to force them to fight on his terms. Rome would have made him fight on theirs and Rome rarely lost a fight when they had that going for them.
    Regardless good question.

I know yer not gonna respond as you are long-gone, but do you wanna watch this from above or experience this? If we can participate and not just watch it, I'd also say the opening of The Ridge at Bridger would be up there too.

Obviously the tram at JH would be better with more vert and no hiking needed, but I've always dreamed about both. And being there at a point where equipment/crowd ratio didn't suck too bad, which would be the late 70s maybe, and definitely the 80s-early 90s. I was at Bridger early 90's, but still I missed the golden era.

Should be a different thread, I suppose.

    How about Helen of Troy?

And no war... but Achilles vs Hector would be worth the watch.

    It's History. They're already dead.
Big difference but a very valid concern. I respect that

I came to post this. Or maybe at one of the gaps, like Wallula, or way downstream at the Dalles when the full flow was going. Fuck the dams.

The immediate things that came to mind were to be in the room with Oppenheimer when they tested the first bomb or the Solvay Conference in 1927.

Maybe how the Egyptians built the great pyramid. Nobody can really figure out how it was done.

The worlds first human orgasm from sex. I picture a cave and a female voice saying "ouch! you're on my hair".
