    BSL Thread

In an effort to help people compare sizing across different brands, and also to compare BSL's within a brand, list your current boot, its mondo size, and it's BSL.

    Scarpa:

    28.5 Tornado Pro - BSL 324
    28.5 Typhoon - BSL 324
    28.5 Spirit 4 - BSL 322

Add if you wish, just figured a thread with these numbers for reference might help people when comparing boots or mounting bindings.

    FWIW - most manufacturers are +10mm for each size. so a 27 = 315, 28 = 325, etc

    full tilt does it by +8mm increments, so a 27 is 310, 28 is 318, 29 is 326

    salomon plug = 313 @ 27
    salomon falcon = 315 @ 27
    salomon course = 314 @ 27
    salomon crossmax/x-wave = 315 @ 27

    kryptons = 316 @ 27

    garmont shaman = 318 @ 27

also, a note on scarpa = most companines run the same size shell @ 27 and 27.5. scarpa is different. a 27.5 and 28 are the same size shell, a 28.5 and 29 are the same etc.

    don't remember what head/nordica/rossi/lange goes.

    Technica Magnesium, 24.5, 284.

Pretty much seems to fit marshal's +10mm per size when compared to the Dragon above.

Shit are you like the ultimate boot dude? I bet you could get a horse foot into a plug.

Er.. Nordica Speed Machine BSL, 335. Dont know the size, maybe 29 but its ok because Marshal will know it.
If you are getting rad but there is no one to see you. Are you really getting rad at all?

I think some langes do this too, and I've always wondered how this works. If the foot size/mondo goes up by 10mm every time, how does the length of the plastic only increase by 8mm?

    Anyway,
    26 Garmont Megaride = 300
    7.5 (25 i think) Rossi b-squad carbon = 300

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Lane CRL 90: 28.0=324mm, although when measured the sole was actually 327mm. Most likely human error...

Do I detect a lot of anger flowing around this place? Kind of like a pubescent volatility, some angst, a lot of I'm-sixteen-and-angry-at-my-father syndrome?

    fuck that noise.

See, this intrigues me. Scarpa's rockered sole models all have BSLs that are 2mm shorter than their alpine soled counterparts. My Tornado Pros and Typhoons are both 324mm for the BSL. The Spirit 4s that I had were a 322 BSL. Does the rocker in the sole take away some length from the sole? I would have though the opposite...

^^The soles under the toe lugs are HEAVILY rockered, enough to explain those mm's

I know the Spirit 4 is a 313 also in a 28...which is apparently same as a 27.5 shell in Scarpa
