Though I applaud and appreciate the sentiments behind the beautiful finger moustach I am concerned there may be problems translating it to London. Over here, it may be interpreted as a (slightly sloppy) Nazi salute (with a little Hitlery type moustach). There are still people around here who remember the Blitz!!!

May be I'm not approaching it with enough urban, street attitude?

Uhh, I need a ruling here.

having been called for improper finger moustache usage, I need a ruling from the judges.

My FM understanding parallels Basom's above. As I understood it growing up, prior to tap's steezy posting, it was an advanced form of the snicker.
A snicker so powerful that it required some assistance from the finger to be truly enhanced and expressed. Oftentimes also accompanied by the other finger pointing at the victim.

tap's post that started this is more of an honor - like a Magna Cum Steezy award.

With the creation of the "fm icon" this Fall, it was never made clear which version it stands for.
    Some say both.

    Yo yo yo.
East Coast or West Coast ?
    Snicker or Steeze ?

Please help me with my confusion.
I can't sleep at night with this hanging over my head.

A Snickers bar has peanuts, caramel, nougat, and a chocolate coating.

I am not familiar with this Steeze bar of which you speak. But neither one should be left hanging over your head while you sleep, Damocles.

I think it's perfect with the east/west vagueness. Leaves the reader to figure out whether it's props or deprecation. Simply perfect.

    Talking

The finger 'stache should only, I repeat, only be used in instances when the event you have just witnessed has reached the highest level of the sickbird scale.
To witness (and sorry for the crappy scans):

    Seeing Travis Rice land this:

    Snow moling like this:

    Stomping this:

Using the FM in lesser situations degrades both the 'stache, and yourself. Use it wisely.

This is fine as far as it goes, but it is the West Coast version.

The East Coast version is more satirical and abusive in nature, although its use is still restricted to friends, especially good friends.

    Here's an EC fm scenario:

You are out at the bar with a friend and there is a particularly unattractive girl there who lives on your dorm floor. She has had a few cocktails and makes it clear that she is available.

You and your friend of course choose to drink and shoot the shit instead, and eventually said young lady wanders off. You have things to do in the morning, so after a while you take your leave while your buddy stays "for one more beer".

In the morning you go out to get some coffee. As you walk down the dorm hallway, the door to the young lady's room opens and your friend backs into the hallway with his shoes and shirt in his hand, trying to close the door silently while also trying to keep his unbuttoned pants from falling down.

This is where you break out the EC fm steeze bigtime. If you can say, "BWAAA!!! Oh no you DITn't, oh no no you DITn't!!!!" while doing the fm, so much the better.

I hope this clears things up.

Now, I'm not from the midwest, so midwest folks, feel free to chime in here, but I believe the midwest version of the fm, is to be used, if and only if someone busts out something incredibly phat, but in an embarassing fashion; such as a double back flip off a 60 foot cliff, but without wearing a belt, thus allowing your pants to drop to your ankles.

Are you're sure that the Finger Moustache is the final movement of a punch line that says the word "Magnolia"?
