Pucker Face Steepness? (Mt Cody)

Fierce debate at work right now, and we have decided to let y'all judge.

How steep is Pucker Face on Cody Peak, JH, WY?

Steep-speak International Translations:

France: Subtract 5 degrees & 1/3 of the stated vertical. ie: 1000 meters of 50 degrees = 660m of 45 degrees.

Alaska Heliskiing - Subtract 20 degrees and cut the vertical in half. FIVE THOUSAND FUGGIN' FEET OF 60 DEGREES (Dude!) = 2,500' of 40 degrees.

Montana & Washington - accept at stated values.

California - Subtract 10 degrees, nip the vert by 1/4 and double the width of any stated couloir.

Oregon - there is no steep skiing in Oregon.

The East Coast - Overstated stats, but the conditions justify it. Accept at stated value.

Colorado - Whatever Lou said it was.

Utah - I'll take the 5th on that.

Film/Movies - cut stated angles and length in half.

Canada in general

It would only be fair to break it down into the major mountain ranges...

Coast Range - Accept stated angle, add 25% to stated width and shorten length by 1/3. (lack of sun makes chutes seem narrow and skiing cement makes them seem longer than they really are)

Columbia Range - There's no reason to ski anything above 42 degrees here, so all steep skiing angles & distances are estimates at best, usually done by a certified guide from a helicopter to impress clients. Suspect.

Canadian Rockies - accept stated values for all six lines that have been skied there.

so true, every thing here is like 500 vert 20 deg and a 100 ft wide, but we have really good photographers, sooooo...

45 degrees seems like a good number. It's pretty intimidating from the top because it's convex and rolls out of sight about halfway down.

I recall Coombs telling me it was 50 degrees. I trust his judgment. He was always whipping out his slope meter and measuring things. He was really into his sluff and avi theories based on different factors. One of those being slope angle.

I'll go with this one, he actually talked my into getting one of those cardboard inclometers. He had a degree from Montana in geology i think didn't he? He was always talking about rock formations and how they relate to what we were doing. My first thought was 40 degrees, but if Coombs said it was 50, then goddamn it it's 50

Here's a picture taken by Doug Coombs ages ago of my wife that I'm 99% sure is pucker face. Sorry for the iPhone pic of a pic, but you get the idea. This is 45 degrees? Obviously depends on where you are on the face.
