My friend who has been touring for 12 years and has a big, kind heart took some newbies out yesterday near alpental/snowlake. He was a good tour guide, patient, and kind, and on the way back, karma sent his ski flying, for some unknown reason, out of an unclosed tule rack on I-90.

Maybe it's a sign, maybe this man just needs some man-sized skis, and this is the lesson from karma, we never know. But he loved that setup dearly and really wants it to continue to service him well.

The ski in question is the dynafit carbonfiber 10.0 @ 168 cms, with a gray topsheet and red dynafit insignia. Binders attached were speed dynafats.

The ski to be replaced did NOT fare well on impact:

Total longshot, but I'm looking for a pole basket for a late model K2 pole. The baskets are a proprietary design, so I can't just throw another one on there.

I want to say my pole is a 5-speed/6-speed?? It's the small one, not the big powder basket. Don't want to shell out $60 for a set of poles for a stupid basket.

Okay so... last run.. of course.... did an air i'd done like 3 times earlier in the day but it was getting bombed out so I was taking the landing as close as possible to a boulder we were landing near... and I was tired so of course misjudged it slightly and once I was air born I was just like fuccckkckckc tryed to shift myself over in the air but clipped the side of my ski on the boulder and bam on of my skis is completely fucked
