I bought a bunch of these hats back in 2004 on NS.
Still giving them away for Xmas presents.

Great & beautiful handmade toques... nice quality.

They do fit a little tight on average. Ask for loose fit.

with this new yarn they are going to have a looser but better fitting fit than any hat you have ever had. it wont fall off either unless u bail hard. or someone steals it off your head.

the stuff i used to use was about 2 dollars to make hat from unless you ended up with some vermont wool.

rad thanks tro !! the blue one fit the lady well, i made her that hat in the parking lot of the post office. ended up having to make 3 hats because i didnt have yarn at the house, so i did them in the post office parking lot so i could walk in at closing time.

thanks for the support. dont forget about xmas

i have invested in a decent amount of merino wool, if anyone desires that i have black, red, rust, forest green. its a bit more expensive though, i wont know for certain until i make a hat and see how much yarn it uses. id say around 6 - 8 dollars more for it

    Merino
a fine-woolled sheep with unpigmented hooves used for fabric wool; males are usually horned (polled strains are available), females are polled. Originated in Spain, now many ethnic varieties. Classes of Australian merinos include Superfine (18 microns), Medium (20-22 microns), and Strongwoolled (23-25 microns). Other strains exist, e.g. Booroola, which has a much better fertility performance than average merinos.

****on a side note, i will be out of town for a week starting tuesday. if you paid today, i ship monday, then i wont be able to answer messages or crochet for a week. THANKS!

ok hard to believe, but MULTIPLE people asked for a canadien flag hat for the olympics. here is the best that i could do doing it all handmade, incorporated into the hat. probably the best i could do with out using a premade patch.

this hat took 3 hours to make. brim would be about 4 hours. its merino too. so these hats end up being pretty expensive.......

Could you pull off the brown and orange one with no brim but still have the orange go around the bottom? Orange bottom, 2-3 lanes of brown then 2-3 of orange then cap off the rest brown?

And now I cant decide between the above or the green and off white, even the 2010 canada one's giving me the eye now.

    tassle = not hard

no pom = easier for me they all come with them instincively. but they are easily removed.

these are dope, will be ordering a few in a couple weeks
Be careful about buying snowboard goggles for skiing. Snowboard goggles come in right eye and left eye (for goofy-footers) dominant models. This can make it hard to see correctly when skiing because you are facing straight down the hill, not sideways.

YES! SO STOKED! This is awesome. Thanks for all the help, this could turn into a solid venture. I might have to quit my job, at least go to part time......This is way more fun than bussing tables . Direct output direct input great. 1 week to collect (or lose) myself at the phish festival, but i shall return. Thanks everyone!

you gotta figure out a way to put together some kind of custom hat for fest 8. Similar to that 2010 hat, fest 8 or phish8 on one side and there's your ticket.

    "8"

turns out making hats for you guys probably will lead to better things now and down the road than making a comparable amount of hats for random wooks.
