They are supposed to get 4' in the next two days with 130 MPH wind gusts and steady 60 -75 MPH. If true you might want to let things settle down a bit first.

Look for the snow level to begin a rise above 9000 by tomorrow. It's a warm storm with lots of moisture. So, the stuff is gonna be dense and coming down quickly.

Rock Creek could get you to a high start. Oh, it's paved. I'm not sure about the gate with potential road conditions. The same goes for South Lake.

I think she is safe, as the 10 day forcast is mostly highs in the low 60s. If your not there now for some rock skiing, you'll just have to wait a month, but it is getting closer.

JBags - take it easy on the office f*** stuff especially when it's an old roommate of mine.

Maybe if you went to mammoth more you would remember that in the later part of the season erica and her year-round staff co-workers regularly work the chairs.

    The old cut and paste...............

    Tuesday, October 13, 2009 5:09:28 PM

MICRO-PHYSICAL PROCESSES AT WORK TO ALLOW SNOW TO FALL FROM THE DENDRITIC GROWTH ZONE TO THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH.

OAKLAND SOUNDING AT 12Z TUESDAY WAS SATURATED FROM 925MB THROUGH OVER 625MB. 0 C LINE RUNS AND CROSSES RIGHT AT 700MB. VERTICAL MOTION ACCORDING TO THE FOUS-73 FROM 18Z IS INCREASING THROUGH 06Z WEDNESDAY AND STRONG VERTICAL MOTION IS LIKELY TO CONTINUE THROUGH ABOUT SUNRISE TOMORROW....THEN DROP OFF QUICKLY AFTER SUNRISE. SO...SNOW CAN FALL ANOTHER 1500 FEET BELOW FREEZING LEVEL BY MICRO-PHYSICAL PROCESSES.

IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THAT MAMMOTH WILL BE BURRIED BY MORNING................WAX UM UP FOR THE WEEKEND? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

    SNOWMAN YOU GOT YOUR WISH!

ITS DUMPING IN TOWN WITH 6 TO 12 INCHES AROUND....ANOTHER COUPLE OF FEET POSSIBLE BY MORNING. UPPER ELEVATIONS WILL GET OVER 5 FEET.

THIS ONES FOR THE RECORD BOOKS FOR MID OCTOBER
    THE DWEEBER

They are gonna open. Unless it all of the sudden stops snowing tonight, its on! This is based on fuck-all for official info by the way.

Question is which lifts and when. We will be there for sure Saturday. Friday is a more interesting question.

Tarka, getting possessive. Although fair retort since Mr. BO'Donuts doesn't ski.

All I can say is bring it! Very pumped! Gotta remount the rock boards.

Are you facking serious "M"!! I am not a fucking name dropper but it is what it is with folks working up there. I have some good friends/family which may get called back early from their vacations to see if this early opening happens. Yeah, Maybe I didn't fucking hang with the core bra's as much these last couple of seasons. But I'll fucking gaurantee you, that i have been out and about. Peace Hommie
