TR: Alaska Range from Above (NSR)

Over the summer, my redheaded companion (not daywalker) and I headed up on a 10 day trip to Alaska. While most of the trip was us tagging along (dirtbagging/sponging off of) for a very cheap trip on her parent's family vacation, we did manage to get a ton of hiking and a decent amount of bouldering as well in. It was my first time in AK, and now I can't get the images and beauty of the scenery out of my head. It gave me a taste of the unbelivable beauty the state had to offer and I can't wait to go back. I plan to head back for a much more extended and much more climbing/skiing oriented trip at the end of this season and probably more after that.

One of the highlights was we managed to score a flight on Talkeetna Air Taxi around the Alaska Range on an absolute bluebird day (yay having hookups on flights!). I just got around to going through the good ones (out of 300) and thought some of you fine folks might enjoy them.

    Foraker again,

If you ever get a chance to do something similar, I'd highly reccomend it. It is pricey (I got on for free ) but totally and utterly worth it. I may have gotten one or two of the names wrong in the labeling, but I'm pretty sure they're correct. The pictures from the rest of the trip are here

actually, I just went and took a closer look at the one that you balanced, and it's distinctly missing some of the depth of the more blue one, which was part of what I liked about the shot. I probably should have just added a bit more red in instead of using a white balance

I'd try a curve adjustment first...you've got room to bump the blacks a fair bit before they clip. I always like to have a touch of pure black in the image.
