looking for skis for my 13 year old nephew

    he's 5'4" - 140#

    skis fast, takes chances

kid lives in RI - skis in New England here and there - probably not enough for his liking

he spent 10 days in CA with us last Feb - skied every day - rocked Kirkwood, BV - wants to go to Tahoe next winter

looking for an all 'round ski for skiing everywhere - 80mm underfoot - 150-160cm

he's a hell of an ice skater/hockey player, so he's really got his feet under him - he liked the K2 Juvy he demo'd last season

    w/ or w/o binders

[QUOTE=jgb@etree;3580194]I've got a pair of Lucky Bums (plastic skis & strap bindings) that a mag sent me a couple of years back. My son has outgrown them.
    Free + shipping.
Anyone have something like these they would like to pass on.
I am also looking for a pair of size 15 ,teeny, tiny boots, and 60ish cm skis for my little girl. She will be 2 this winter and would love to start getting out on the hill.
    Thanks in advance!!

Ok team I have stuff that I want to pass on to someone who deserves it and keep it out of the landfill for at least a little more time. Anything I offer up here is free of cost. If you could float me some money for shipping that would be rad. Here goes....

    1) 2002 Nordica Beast boots. size 26.5, 305mm bsl They are beat to shit and one toe buckle is broken. I LOVED this boot and rode it into the ground. Great for someone who is just learning.

    2) a black Leedom helmet size L it's scuffed but in perfect shape. I wear a 7 1/4 fitted baseball hat and this helmet is a little on the loose fitting side for me.

    3) 2002 K2 enemy size 173cm. This is a great all around ski. Perfect for your teenager who is looking to take it to the park for the first time and still handle business on the rest of the mountain. They are mounted with CRAPPY Marker Comp Free 1400 bindings.

That's what I got. If you want photos, PM me and I'll text or email them to you.

I probably have some skins I can give you. Search the Tech Talk forum for some how-to on cutting down AT binders for kids.

I've got a few pair of skins folks have given me for my kid's backcountry rig. You might need to deal with tip & tail connections. I'll see what I've got.

I am looking for boots and skis for my almost 2 year old. I would rather not go with the skis that attach to snowboots but I probably need whatever the smallest size is.
It was all a whirlwind; freeze and flash.
Within a week we had grabbed our skis and hit the road.

    80cm might work

    70cm

    70cm

there are a bunch more - notably a pile of 67cm repaired used rentals - that's really the size you want...

I still have all of this gear except for the shoes (still have the snow boots). Will probably post up some mini boots and skis soon too. All items are in Longmont Colorado. Prices are guesses, make an offer if you think it's too high. Keep in mind I need to get them some new gear this year though. Everything is clean and in excellent condition.

Sorel Snow boots. kids size 8. $25.

REI Thermals matching ones are 2T Bottoms and 3T top, non matched ones are 18 month. $20 for a pair.

One Piece REI snow suits. Pink is 12 months, Purple (it really is purple not blue) is 2T. $35 each

REI jacket 18 months, again, Purple not blue. $25

okay folks, I am searching for two pair of boots.

For my godson, looking for a 21.5. He is a strong skier, so I am not sure if we should be looking for just any boot, or is he at the age (6.5) and skill to get something more aggressive.

For my own little gut, I am looking for a 14/15. Or even smaller. He is a 4/5 shoe right now, but should be up around 6 when I think I'll get him on the snow. We also have the strap on skis, if we don;t find a boot, but I'd love to get him in real boots by spring. He is already a charger, and loved touring on my chest last year.

PM if you have anything. And I'll try to check back here often.
