no you don't get it, I learned that and thus know it NOW, I didn't know it before. So telling me to learn something after I have already learned it, as if I should inherently know everything there is to know about alpine equipment just because you know it, isn't helpful. I have a more than full time job and am doing the best that I can, learning as I go.

As far as I’m concerned, if your bindings don’t lock down on the heel then they are broken.

You’re welcome. Happy to help ya out there.

What a nightmare! I bought all my kids' stuff at Epic when it was Boulder Ski Deals. For the most part it was ok, kind of a shit show. The one issue was they ALWAYS oversized the boots. My kids ended up skiing the same boots 2 (maybe 3?) seasons when they really should be outgrowing them every year. And, they definitely accept boots of any condition in the trade in program. I've seen some bad ones but the fitter always checked that before sending us home.

I'm in Golden and like Larsons to buy kids stuff. Green Mtn Sports for shop work. Have heard good things about Crystal but haven't been there yet.

Looking for kids powder skis in 140-ish. Have a bunch of smaller stuff (skis, boots, clothing) for cheap in the Bay area, would rather not ship.

Danno, sorry about the trial at Epic. I stopped shopping there when they transitioned to Vail ownership (and became EPIC). I worked there in college when still BSD and it was the best shop in town.

On your daughters heel plate, if they were so worn that the heads of the screws that hold them in place were sheared off, it’s really hard to replace (but indeed doable).

We bought gear for my oldest (now 6) at BSD four years ago but never did a trade in - at that point kid 2 was on the way so figured I would keep, and also kids gear in this thread is generally in better condition and better priced than at BSD/Epic.

Glad you got things sorted out. And found a decent shop in Boulder...

Boots: Probably everything from mondo 24.5 down to "it doesn't get any smaller". Clothing is a mix of stuff, more on the older end (say, 11 year old down to 6.) I've got 2 pairs of mantra Jr.s (118cm and 128cm) that should go to a powder-oriented kid. If you've got specific requests I'll dig through and take pics.

Also a pair of Hestra Heli gloves in orange, size 6. A bit more used than the mitts, but still in fine shape. However, we spilled some cleaner on the back of one wrist, so it lightened up the orange a bit on the back of the glove. No damage, just a color change. So let's say $50 for those.

I'll try to post photos tonight.

Plus shipping if you aren't on the front range to pick up.
