I have a Spawn Banshee 16”. Single speed with freewheel. Great lightweight bike. Thinking $150 + ship from 80304.

Roger that, lemme chat with the wife. She has a new idea that we can stretch the Woom's all summer and jump up to 20" bikes next spring, but I don't think that's ideal. Looking to start teaching my daughter to ski this year. She'll be 2 1/2 years old, on the larger size (height+weight). I have no idea what kind of stuff I need. Does anyone out there have some gear to pass down for this age? Are there any good programs for seasonal swapping of gear for this age and over the next year or two? No clue what I'm doing.. hah!

Get her some mittens that have velcro closures on the back, example below. They essentially open all the way up the back of the hand to the fingers and are much easier to get on a kid when they take them off for the 23rd time.

Re: boots, we were really psyched with the Fischer One for our kids, one of whom turned three at the end of the season and the other turns two in August. The two-year-old likes them enough to shove his feet in them and run around at home. While his are clearly a bit large, they seemed to ski fine and the light weight and GripWalk soles are a big win for mobility.

The zippers are a weak point, you need to make sure the inner power strap is snug enough so the zipper isn't overstressed.

Rossi boots - shell says 18-19.5, but probably an 18-18.5 in reality, 235 bsl. In good shape with plenty of sole block left,etc. -$30

XC skis and poles. 110 skis and 100 cm poles. SNS style binding. - $Free

POC skull x helmet (55/56)- good condition/no hard falls, etc. -$20

Happy Father’s Day y’all

Lindahl- what I ultimately have settled into was always being be on the hunt for the best gear and at a reasonable price - at a size that was into the future. Regardless if we were going to use it this season or next, I’d buy. Especially skis. Late in a season when my boy’s legs were strong and his skill and attitude is on- I’d introduce the next ski size jump. See how they handle it. Go back and forth. Been a lot of fun with mine.

Question for the group when did you seem to cross from jr. binding to more adult oriented binders for your kids? I get that din dictates but there’s some crossover and just curious as I plan my sons skis/gift that he’ll put into use next year.

My kids are big, but it was 100-110lbs when I figured they could break a junior binder. They have big feet too, so their DIN was lower than average.
