Have two boys wanting to keep snowboarding..6 and 8 yrs old. Both similar height and weight. Mid 50 lbs. Anyone have some gear that might work? Almost time to start looking the pre-season stuff, but would be nice to keep it in the mag family..
By the way- Shin-to-win: Did you guys get some use from the skis I sent?

Have no kids so I don't know if these will work. But I just stumbled on a pair of Rossi Edge skis at 130 cm. They were left out on my sidewalk by what i presume is a neighbor who is moving. Came with a note:
"Dear Guy, Teach your kid to ski... signed, Santa" They are brand new, unmounted (no binders).
They are technically adult skis, but I figured maybe an 8 year old might be rightly sized for them? Something for a non-pretentious, non-jibber who is just happy to have something to slide on.

One R.E.D. Trace 0.5 Helmet, size medium (52cm/20.3"), matte black. 2005 model but never used, still in box.
Archival REI page
Currently in Bay Area, can go to North Lake Tahoe a few times over the next couple of months, prefer pickup over mail (because I suck at getting stuff to the post office and it's too bulky for a flat rate).

First pair of boots
I found my first pair of ski boots in Moms basement. They are Nordica (no idea) front entry and appear to be in perfect condition.
I was 2 when I used them so they might be what you are looking for if you have a never ever and are getting them ready for season 1.
I might have a hard time shipping these off, but if you promise to pass them along as I have offered here when your toddler is done using them they are yours for shipping costs only.
...my only concern is the condition of the liners. I don't know if they would be broken down and ineffective against the cold/wet after 26 years.

Thanks!

Anyone have a pair of strap on skis for a very little kid? My son will be 1.5 by the time the snow starts flying and I'd like to find some strap on skis that'll work with snow boots so we can get him used to the joys of sliding on snow in the yard this winter & get him ready to start learning to ski for real in the 11/12 season.

Probably not a perfect thread for this, but as good as it gets, I guess.
The Ski Utah 5th and 6th Grade Passport forms are up.
$25 processing fee gets 5th graders three days, and 6th graders one day, at each and every Utah resort, lesson and rental discounts, and... wait for it... a one-year sub to Transworld Snowboarding or SKI Magazine!
We did this for my daughter when she was in 5th grade, and she and I had a terrific Memorial Day weekend hitting Snowbird (half the time, with BWPA). Planning on getting them for the twins this year and spending a week getting Utarded.not counting days 2016-17
