    Props To Powder

I didn't think this would happen.

Remember the malnourished issues of Powder we got last year; meagre offerings bloated with advertorial and half-baked 'features'? I asked what your Features Editor did to justify his job title. We all ragged on the production and were disheartened to hear what pitiful backing the editorial staff seemed to be getting from the parent company.

It's time for me, at least, to eat some crow and offer big props to both the editorial staff and the bean counters in the Primedia office because from the two issues of Powder I've received, it looks like the A game is back; bigger and better than ever. The latest issue is just beautiful magazine craft that has surpassed all expectations.

Like I said, I didn't think this would happen. Thanks.

Amen. Such high quality. Primedia, if you're lurking, I've been carrying the latest issue around in my leather "supposed to be looking for a job" notebook carrying case just so's those corners don't get damaged. just barely fits.

I love that it just barely fits.

    Nice job, guys.

Roo, I just got my October issue yesterday, so I guess the overseas delivery has improved as well.

Something amazing happened yesterday: a copy of Powder actually arrived! A first (apart from the ones kind souls have sent me - thanks KD and JYD). Yep, got to agree with what Roo said: class through and through. And 1000X better than anything I can get here. Nice work.

It's rare in this corporate world that a product can be turned around so quickly and so expertly. Props to Powder indeed! Can't wait for the next issue.

It has reached the shores of Australia too.

It is to say the least, a spectacular looking magazine. Oh, and the stories are great too.
