Pretty Bog-standard stuff for a quiver that was reset recently for being too old/short/trashed/straight. And not the iconic-retro-nostalgia kind.

Dust-collector; 3rd-own rock whipper; Daily bastard; Soft crap. It's getting bigger slowly. In fact these just came in the door last week. Will let y'all know how they deal with core shots.

    The Quiver Pic Rerun Thread

At Norseman’s recommendation I decided to quit arguing with teh rat flu deniers to give y’all an updated quiver pic (at least the stuff that gets skied.)

    L-R

183 mx83, scored last year on GS, drilled once, zoomers
189 bmx105hp, scored this summer from marshal, stoked to ride this season.
194 4x4 Big, the millennial “longboards”
186 LP, early season get-in-shape rock boards, originally belonged to the unicorn scored via TAFKALWS
187 Menace/Slicer 98, make the mountain fun again
192 LPR, aka the “time machines”
    192 mf108, all rounder
189 mf118, ski pow and carve turns too
193 supergoat, maritime pow and crud
189 bg 108 tour layup, bc pow slayers
192 Protest, DEEP acquired via CascadeLuke
188 megawatt, deep but with rocks
192 wailer 99, chopped to 187, all other tourist duties

Those look like my old Protests. I don’t need them back at all but I do sort of miss them…

    Nice quiver

Jackattack, I didn't realize you had Protests. How do you like them compared to RES shapes?

    Nice quiver

They’re fantastic skis. Super surfy and effortlessly drift through the deepest blower. Better than the goats in pure unconsolidated pow but lack the heft and shape for smashing through crud.

I bring them with me to the Rockies but only ski them when it’s cold and dry or I know I’ll get a bunch of untracked laps in the pnw. Being in WA, they only come out a handful of days a year. I hope to ski them in Japan someday.

Where did you mount them? From the picture it looks like they're almost as far back as the SGs?

They’re about -1.8 IIRC. I didn’t drill them, figured I’d try the the existing mount and I like them there.

Strong quiver Jack. Have a feeling those BMX will rise to the top of rotation on shallow rippin days..
Glad you’re getting time on the ProTests - the drill was intended @ -1.75. So yah in that region. Seemed well balanced to me

    Solid line up thereJA

As a fellow supergoat/protest owner they make a perfect 1-2 punch for deep Alpy days that get cut up by midday

I have not posted a quiver pic in quite a while I think.

Rossignol Experience 94 Ti - 187cm (hard groomer with some metal to smooth out the chatter. I thing these saw about 5 runs last season)
ON3P Woodsman 102 - 181cm (bough these since there is a little more fall line skiing at MHM as opposed to Timberline)
ON3P Jeffrey 108 - 181cm (last years DD, fresh snow, park. I'm sure they will compete with the WD for DD status)
    ON3P Jeffrey 118 - 186cm (obviously pow)

    Blizzard Quattro RX
    Moment Wildcat 101
    Faction CT 2.0
    Faction CT 3.0
Moment DWT (got some voyagers I need to mount on em)
    Armada JJ UL
    Moment Wildcat (118)

Only addition so far this year are the DWTs, super pumped for them and the Voyagers. Brought the Quattros and CT 2.0s back from Europe with me this summer to add to my quiver here in SLC. I might sell the shifts on the CT 3.0s and stick some pivots on them, not really sure. It's maybe my favorite ski of the bunch but gets very little ski time due to other skis just being more specialized. Next ski will probably be a thinner touring option (low 100s) or the BC120s because I need some more artwork for my office... (sucker for that topsheet).

As someone that's about the pull the trigger on some new BG118's as his primary resort/heli/cat pow ski (mostly in CO)...i'm curious what you mean by the BG's not being great in "pure unconsolidated pow"

    relativity.....said some Smhaaaart guy.

i'll go ahead and speak for JJA and say no one here is saying BGs aren't a top tier option for a deep day. Just if you are going to compare them to an even more untracked specific shape that skews more r/r (Protest, L138, etc) that BG isn't going to be quite as loose/surfy. But key here is not to loose sight that we are dissecting minute pow skiing differences between a ski in the top 5% of all pow skis and those in the top 1-2%.

plenty of folks here way happier to grab BGs for their pow days and be rewarded with a super fun pow ride that is damn near just as much fun when it starts to get cut up. In other words, dont let the neuroses of the mag collective make you second guess a purchase of a nearly universally adored ski

    Slackey gets it.

I guess if you were sled/cat/heli more than 50% of your pow days you might consider the Protest or the C&D. If, like most of us, 99% of your time is in the resort you can’t go wrong with the goat. ATMO
