sold my resort sticks this year because of covid and not getting a pass to but I feel like I've finally landed on a quiver. now I just need to mount everything up. if only my damn jig would arrive...
left to right:
BD Cirque 84 in 171 - this is my "try to keep up with mall walker" ski. or spring touring/general fitness/steep skiing
Volkl BMT 94 in 176 - big powder days? honestly I don't know why I got these but I've wanted to try them since I started skiing. norse says they're an amazing volcano ski, so that might be it.
Down CD104L in 181 - general touring workhorse ski
Line Pescados - because I can't bring myself to sell them
PMGear/Praxis Kusalas - UL core with maple veneer - because I needed a second wood veneer powder ski?
Now the real question: what do I mount the Kusalas with? The question is between Tectons and ATK Release 10s (what will be quiver killed on the remaining skis)

Simple 4 ski quiver.
175 Helio 105 - MTNs - Spring/Big Days
179 Steeple 116 - Ion LT - Winter Touring
182 PB&J - Pivot 14 - Firm resort
184 Billy Goat - Jester Pro - Resort DD
Technica Zero G Scout - Touring
Solly QST 120 TR - Resort (to be replaced at some point)
Also shoutout to the OG BCA Scepters, best pole ever with that little scraper
IMO, this is the proper ratio of goats:not goats

The Quiver Pic Rerun Thread
Old school on the left side -
Fisher RC4 GS 210
K2 Race GS 205 (x2)
Stockli Stormriders 188
Daily Drivers -
Igneous FGS 178
Igneous FFL 180
Igneous RPK 178
Dynastar Bigs 189
Dynastar Legand 106 180
K2 Darkside 180
I picked up the Igneous RPK last year, and they are the best skis I’ve ever ridden. Parris is a master.
I mounted the old Dynastar Bigs last yr as well and forgot how fun they are. Perfect east coast ski for family cruising.
If anyone wants a testimonial on the durability of Igneous, the FGS and FFL are over a decade old and still ski better than me .
elevenswhy make ten turns when you only need to make NONE!

Updated quiver pic. Think the left three combined end up being the same weight as the next 7 combined
187 Praxis Protests w/ Warden MNC
178 Moment Belafonte / Lord SP (Probably the best $200 I've spent on skis + bindings)
177 Nordica Enforcers / Marker F12 (need to sell these the Belafonte are so much fun)
186 BD Helio 116 / Vipec/ Tecton inserts at -2.5 (kinda want to put inserts in for the ATK's but not sure if it'd be worth swiss cheezing them)
185 BD Helio 105 that are BEAT (no more camber + repaired delam in tail) / ATK Trofeo inserts at -2 I think (fun to have a UL rock ski setup)
180 Peter Butler (thelongride on insta) prototypes @ 108 waist/ Vipec/ Tecton inserts. Dude out of the PNW making some cool skis. Need to get a second set of binding freedom screws for the Vipec toes...thought I had a 2nd pair...
172 Dynafit Stokes w/ vipec inserts (use to be my go to rock tour but the Helio 105's might have surpassed them. Still an awesome ski since I'm light) Tectons are on there since it's still low tide
179 Black Crow Navis Freebird w/ vipec + some dynafit inserts. (Loved these in Tahoe conditions, slower tighter CO trees not as much need to get sold)
178 G3 Findr 86 w/ vipec inserts (awesome spring ski)
162 Peter Butler skimo skis / will get inserts for the ATK Trofeo's (replacing cracked S-Lab Minims
146 Gotbacks w/ Fritischi Pros (ice climbing approach ski for mountaineering boots)TLDR; Ski faster. Quit breathing. Don't crash.

Current Quiver left to right:
Resort skis:
Atomic Arc RS Olympic 209cm w/ tyrolias - retro ripping
Dynastar World Cup FIS Slalom 165cm w/ looks on plates - firm snow carver
Nordica Dobermann GS 186cm w/ markers - firm snow go fast ski (selling these as I'm done trying to die)
Blizzard Brahma 180cm w/ STH13 - firm snow all mountain
Dynastar Menace 98 181cm w/ Warden 13 - firm playful (too soft for my liking...looking for a stiffer twin tip for firm snow days)
Line SFB 184cm w/ Warden 13 - playful DD (a bit too soft for me but carves amazing)
Armada JJ 185cm w/ Pivot 18 - playful pow (JJs were my 1st rockered ski so these are just nostalgia now. don't ski them much any more)
Black Crows Anima 188cm w/ Warden 13 - Resort pow
Sled skiing/travel skis:
Black Crows Atris 184cm w/ Shifts - <12" of fresh snow. these have also become my DD in the Resort. Jack of all trades master of none type ski.
Black Crows Nocta 185cm w Shifts - >12" of fresh snow.
Touring skis:
Amplid Facelift 184cm w/ Kinpins - all time favorite touring ski. does it all from firm, to spring or deep pow. I'd buy another pair but amplid stopped making skis.
Line Vision 108 183cm w/ G3 Zed - DD touring. replacement for the amplids which are pretty thrashed.
Atomic BentChetler 185cm w/ G3 Zed - >12" Pow ski. mounted them 2" behind recommended and much happier there.
Touring splitboard:
Tahoe Lab 156cm DT Phantom with Spark - when I'm missing surfing.
finally some snowblades. Originally for a naked descent of Terminal Cancer in the Rubies.
Pretty happy with the current setup. The one place I'm trying to sort out is the 80-100 underfoot all mountain ski. Looking for something that carves a mean short radius turn, twin tip, is good in bumps, poppy, but not a noodle. Anyone got a recommendation that worked for them?

Rustler 9? They don’t like to go Mach nutty like the Brahma, but do what you are describing for me. They are also fairly cheap to find BNIP.

Check out the 181 masterblaster. Not a full twin but gets the job done, and has a backbone.

After drooling at quiver pics forever, I finally feel like I have one together worth posting.
Plus a bonus gratuitous shot of the terrain accessible from my porch
L2R:
188 OG protest with Sollyfit plates for Plums or STH16. If you know...then you know.
185 RMU apostle 106 metal w/ warden 13. This ski is super fun. Pretty short running length, but if you don't look down and just drive them, they rip crud and hold a great edge. They also seem the ski both short and long at the same time. Pivotey and stable for speed. Me likey.
185(?) 4FRNT MSP with deadbolt demo binders. Picked these up super cheap ($50¿) when I broke a pair of skis on vacation. They made me remember how much fun a full camber ski is.
186 wootest 2.0. 2 sets of inserts with a vert pattern. I've got Plum Guides on em. Just got these and I'm enamored. As advertised, a skinnier protest.
185 backland carbon 95 inserted with MTNs. I've never had a proper light setup before this year. Kind of feels like cheating, the couple tours I've taken them on.
170 libtech birdman. Because turns out, knuckle dragging in pow is stupid fun.
And some "plug in for fun" Crazy Blades to round it out.
Happy holidays nerds.

Doesn’t matter if you got one or fifty, any quiver is worth posting.
What’s the deal with these? There’s constantly twenty pair of them barely used up for sale all over the webs, don’t know why. I’ve skied the qst 106 and 99 a bit, they’re both pretty damn good skis. Is the 118 just not as fun as the fun shapes everyone loves?

The Quiver Pic Rerun Thread
184 Atris- has a demo binding and I don’t care for it But fun for friends I guess.
183 Corvus- my DD. Lot of fun. Pretty much will do anything.
189 Justis- I couldn’t tell you... they haven’t seen snow yet.
185 Nocta-when it’s deep and I can actually ski instead of work, also for searching out stashes the day after a storm at the resort
181 ferox- touring ski for when there is plenty of snow
183 Corvus FB- touring when its low tide, not much love for them but they get the job done.

That collection of topsheets kinda gives me a headache.🤪🤪
Sent from my iPhone using TGR ForumsIt makes perfect sense...until you think about it.
I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Yep, didn’t like the on the line mount, moved them back to -2. I’ll report back when I get on them again but when I start playing with mounts it’s not promising...

Anybody have a pair of 2020 Moment Comander 98s mounted with the Piv 15s? Trying to get an idea what each colorway would look like. Raw is probably the safest.

Yeah, Raw would look deadly on that IMO. Not too many skis can pull of the Forza 2.0 but we had a new Wildcat through the shop this week and looked perfect with Forza, and in your case with the Com98 could look good too (colours in the right 'tone'). Something like the Com108 seems to be much better suited to the Raw over the Forza.
