The Seattle contingent of my quiver aka the maritime-pow specific quiver:
Extra stiff BGs and 202 L138s.
The BGs are veneer + 22 oz glass + I asked Scott to mill the core a little thicker in the last 30 cms of tail. He said the tails were about as stiff as he could make them without being unskiable. No extra carbon, as far as I know. I think he said they were the very last pair of 191 BGs made. The whole ski is slightly softer than the 202 L138 and about the same as my old 191 BGs, but 5-10% stiffer in the tail. I need to ski my other 191s enough that they die so I can mount these bad boys up! If they're to stiff for me, I guess I'll have to sell them to Betel or someone large."Alpine rock and steep, deep powder are what I seek, and I will always find solace there." - Bean Bowers

That is an honorable set of skis, man. Don't give those to anyone.

A few of us got the early pairs of woodgrain 191s in 2012/2013 that weren't flex adjusted for the wood veneer so I'd say those were the first. I'm guessing SG is still a bit burlier, especially with the reduced tail rocker. I'd like to ski them back to back. But I’m stoked on these pairs cuz the stiffness wasn’t added with carbon.

Nice!
W114 - stiff = stiffer than stock, or "just" stating that the stock ones are stiff?
Auvgeek - those BGs look pretty amazing to be honest, and the rocker lines on those DPS... Man oh man!

How do you like those ravens for a 1 ski touring quiver for the PNW?

I really like them. They never feel really out of place. I’ve skied them in everything from a couple feet of pow to refrozen ice on Rainier.
Like with any quiver of one there are days when I wish I had something a litter fatter or skinnier but for almost everyday the ravens gets it done.

We don't have the same snow as you guys. Without blades, we're nothing.
But in fact, except the Stockli and the old Monster which are real badass skis (and honestly a lot too much skis for me), all the others are pretty easy to ski. That's their beauty!!!

I dig! Crows don’t get much love here.. I’ve only skied one pair (‘19 Corvus) but it has me researching their line for more. Heard Orbs are low tide smashers and really want to give the Anima or Nocta a go. Unfortunately that’s a crowded section in current quiver. Hard to see BGs or Protests getting unseated - but you tell me
