I'm going to break with skikola here. If you're under an 8 DIN, I wouldn't stress about running a nice pair of Look turntables, even with the light springs. (And are you sure they top out at 10? I thought the 110s went to 11 <tm Nigel Tufnel>.)

    Al's has 100mm brakes for $45.

they do top out at 11, my mistake. I set myself at din 9 but it is the light springs in the heel that bother me. I don't feel like the turntables get as much energy as a fixed heel in the turn.

But that is the brake I've been looking for.

If you don't like the turntables, then by all means -- find a different pair of bindings.

No, the top sheets were stamped on the ski backwards. I think Pollard and the boys were smokin a big fatty when they sent that ski to the press. I measured the skis over and over just to make sure before I had them mounted.

180-150-175 Burly skis. Funnest ski ever. If you ski in the PNW, with the "wet" powder we get, they are a God send.

Dude, I love you're approach to skiing. Not only do you decide to make your own skis but you think about it and then build it to test it. I think you rock. I'm well keen to hear how they ski and to see how you progress.

    Keep it up

Ok, your quiver is nothing spectacular, and the fact that you live on the ice coast doesn't say much....

BUT, that poster alone makes youa bad ass. I'd kill someone for one of those.

Now that I think of you, where in the East do you live?

My quiver is kind of like a half-way house these days. Some skis say for a while and others just briefly. I've mixed it up over the summer and here is what the tenant line-up looks like today...

    188 Salomon Gun w/S912 Ti
    195 Salomon AK Rocket Swallowtail/LAB w/S914
186 Dynastar Legend Pro (race room) w/Rossi P140's
194 Dynastar Legend Pro XXL waiting for S916 Ninja's
    184 Volkl Mantra w/S914
    190 Volkl Gotama w/Rossi 120 Pro Ti
    190 Volkl Sumo w/Marker 1800 (yeah...I know)
    185 Nordica Supercharger Blower w/S916 Ninja's
    185 Praxis w/S914's
    189 K2 Pontoon w/S914
179 K2 PE w/Look P12 (for groomers and skiing with kids)
    124 K2 Luv Bug (my 8-year old's sticks)

Once I get a few days on the Praxis, I'll see whether those or the Pontoons get to stay...

Man, that's gotta be my dream quiver.

    OMFG!!!

so do you like have any skis for when it snows a bunch???(insert sarcasm)

I really need to set loftier goals as far as my quiver goes. You need a BAD MUTHA FUCKER sticker for however you transport you boards. The only BMF thing i kinda have is our ski house Coombs K2 "upon this rock" poster signed by THE MAN in Boston like 15 years ago.

If any of your "ex-cons" ever need a place to stay my housing complex has vacancies.
