I was very surprised how my 191 Monsters skied moguls. My Pro Riders will not do that with their current tune.

I’ve been using splats tune on my LP105s. I do 1* base bevel underfoot then 1.5* on the tips and tails. Loosens them up but they still lock in when you want them to.
But Ellen kicks ass - if she had a beard it would be much more haggard. -Jer

Got a few folks asking about my homemade ski rack. Here are some detailed photos for those that are interested.

Just took a couple of 8' aluminum c-channels, attached them to the wall with some big washers and stud screws, then used some big nuts and bolts along with some rubber tubing to protect the edges and sidewalls. Haven't seen the bolts/rubber tubing put any damage on the sidewalls or edges in case you're wondering. Been using this rack for years in the garage. My only qualm with this rack is it's kind of a pain to adjust if you want to add more skis or move current skis around (remove ski, loosen bolt, slide over, adjust 2nd bolt, try to hang ski, probably fail, adjust bolt again, etc. etc.).

Thanks for the details, I like it. I could see an option where by using longer bolts one could hang the skis from the front bindings (skis together). Lots of options.

Totally! Great idea. I may give that a try actually. Although I do like showing off my topsheets

Leaning toward the new ON3P BG118. Pulling the trigger on $800 skis is not easy, though. The financially responsible part of my brain has been winning lately.

    2016 K2 Pettitor 179 - CAST

My current ridiculously large bloated quiver:

191 Dynastar Pro Rider - My favorite ski evar. It can be a handful at times but it keeps me honest.

192 Dynastar MFree 108 - DD last year. It's an incredibly versatile ski. It's loose in fresh and it feels like a Dynastar when put on edge.

191 Praxis Lhasa Fat - It craves speed, holds an edge like a mofo and gets loose when needed. Really cool ski.

192 Praxis GPO - Jack of all traits and master of none. Mainly an early season rock ski now.

193 ON3P Super Goat - 1.5 flex. It's the best all day, inbounds power charger that I've been on.

196 Praxis ProTest - Awesome powder ski.

181 Line Sakana - Fun, touring, playful ski

184 Praxis Piste Jib - Flex 3, heavy core with verneer top. My favorite spring ski. Super fun and playful.

186 Dynastar LegendX 88 - No new/hard snow, all mountain ski.

189 Praxis Kusala - Effortless pow surfing ski. Point and shoot. Click image for larger version.

Ah. It’s aaaariight. I would have gone forza on the SGs and Kiwi on the Protests but to each his own. Kaulas need kiwi too. Lhasa Fat visuals are killer.

Nah... I like the subdued look of the Kiwi's on the SGs and Forza's look good with the tie dye bases on the ProTest's. And yes the Lhasa's look amazing.

    Oooh, sexy time.
How do the Protests and Kusalas compare?

The two skis fill a similar role but they definitely feel different. Both are drifty and loose in fresh but the Kusalas are effortless (zero thought involved, just point and shoot) and the ProTest's are more work but they still feel awesome. The Kusalas are 2x4 stiff so when snow gets cut up the ride can really start to suffer. They lack suspension so they can beat the heck out of you in chopped up snow. The ProTests have more suspension so they handle cut up snow better. Both are awesome skis.

I was totally joking. Trivial nitpicking when there ain’t much to nitpick about. It is a beauty of a herd.

here’s our messy quiver. need more wall space.
the spatulas are on the upper shelf- we pulled the bindings but will have to remount for spatula day.
the red Dynafit Hokkaidos and everything to the right are mine and everything left of that are Andrew’s.
although I did ski the woody pescados in japan. ah the joys of having almost the same bsl as your spouse

The problem is that we have too many other hobbies that take up the other walls

haha my husband claims those were his breakthrough to back and front flips.
I think he got them for christmas when he was 13 or something.
I would say he still uses them at least once a year
