Easier exit/entry and makes it easier to get things in and out of the baggage area, plus, when on floats you can step out forward, instead of back and around the door, which makes it a little safer when docking or coming up to shore.

Excellent. Is this a business for you or is this a mode of transportation?

On a side note my kids and I got to tour the Aviat facility in Afton, Wy. Very cool. The Huskys are made by hand. Makes me want to get a pilot's license.

In the future please read a post, read it again, then read it one more time, just to be safe, and then, if you really think you've go it, hit "reply".

Nice! If you don't mind me asking, what are you budgeting for operation/maintenance costs? At some point I need to convince the Mrs. this is a wise expenditure of limited funds...

With insurance, I figure about $600/month in operating cost which comes to about 10-12 hours of flying/month, plus maintenance, which is minimal...

Now is the time to buy an airplane, lots out there for reasonable prices.

Yeah, I know. But it’s a relatively rare aircraft.

I think Optimus was based Talkeetna.
