    ^ What he said.

Hey Frush, if you come out early we can get some MTB action in the morning before the nacho party!

Hey, where do you MTB around Palo Alto? Once the days get short, it may be my only option for mid week exercise?

    ^ try this: http://www.openspace.org/preserves/d...ctSheetMap.pdf

I was thinking Skeggs before the party, but I know nothing about it and I don't know if it's over my head or not. There is also Purisma creek which is just further up the peninsula. They're both not terribly far from Redwood City from what I understand. Then again, if Lego and DG don't mind we'd probably want to use their showers when we got over there!

You game ottime? I'm trying to get learned on my newly acquired 5" FS MTB.

Skegs is about 30 minutes away via 84. So is Purisima via 92. Closer rides are Arastradero preserve in Palo Alto (small but fun) http://www.chainreactionbicycles.com/arastradero.htm and Water Dog Lake Park in Belmont right off 280 and 92 http://www.chainreactionbicycles.com/waterdoglake.htm. It is also smallish but much more technical and if you go above Carlmont High School there is full-on Red Bull FreeRide shit I can only stare in awe at (think big drops and 20' gaps over thorn bush choked ravines). Those are my go-to local rides.

Also, for those wanting a trail-run (this means you Beandip) our place is less than a quarter mile from Edgewood County Park.

No problem on using the shower too.

Also recruited our desert specialist to possibly come so her and DG will likely make some sort of cake and possibly fresh churros.

There's also Pulgas Ridge, although I think that's hiking and dog walking and such only; I don't think bikes are allowed.

A and I are probably going to be in attendance... Looking forward to nachos, and let us know if we can contribute anything else.

I'll try to get my hands on some Russian River, Moylans, or at worst Marin BrewCo IPAs to wash down 'dem nachos. If I commit to showing up can I re-submit my request for hippie non-meat-eater nachos?

Oh yeah. Forgot about this last time. The meat on all but the monterey bay nachos will be separate for the vegies coming (may do some sort of roasted veggie option too).

I've kind of thought <I do hereby surrender my man card> there might be something to throwing nachos together with some sliced bell peppers, and some garlicky hummus and letting it sit under a broiler for a while with some cheese on top.

Question: We gonna be inside or out? (affects whether my speakers will work)

Also, I have some cheesy old ski porn on my DVR -- Ski School, Ski Patrol, etc. Let me know whether to bring.

Schralph slapped me into realizing that the TGR internetzz was going on without me and that people were planning some fun.

I am in, and as we (Schralp, maybe Frush?, others?) will be doing some Skeggs MTB, am in for the shower as well. In fact, I will be first in and last out, and tips are appreciated. I will be zere all ze veek.

And hey, what is up with people demanding the lovely hosts cook other things b/c of their dietary restrictions and/or whims.. WTF!!! Where were y'all raised? You be grateful that they're doing what they're doing, and if'n you don't like it, bring your own (ask first)! Cheese and rice that's rude!!

Lego and DG, thanks a million and look'g forward to the event. Will bring some towels and, care for some wine contributed as well?

With the move to Sunday I may make it late. Depends on the conditions of Northstar and how late you think the party will go on a Sunday evening?

    Thanks for putting this together!

Unfortunately, the 18th doesn't work as well for us as the 17th would have, we'll have to take some other opportunity to get together.

Nater - Bummer! Damn - I was looking forward to working with you on those bell pepper cheesy garlicky hummus broiler nachos. Well, perhaps we'll have to create those with some extra chips anyway. If your plans change again let us know! Remember you can totally crash here if you need to.

And don't worry guys, I'm a fan of the vaginatarians too so I'll help with the meatless nachos as well.

Guys/gals - no problem on the showers - but if possible please bring a towel - that would be sweet! Of course we have extras if you forget.

No problem on bringing guests - but we need to know how many so we can buy more fooooood!

Extra ski movies = yes. And, we will be outdoors and indoors. The screen (wall) will be indoors, with easy access to the outside deck. So.....speakers can be inside and people will still be able to see/hear the movies.

As for what to bring.....please bring whatever you would like to drink, as we are not providing drinks.

Did I cover everything? OH - parking. You will most likely need to park up near the Sunset Road entrance to Edgewood Park. It's an easy 1/4 mile away from the house. Carpool if possible. We will PM you our address early next week.

Schralph, if you and the MTB crew need a place to shower beforehand, you can use my place. I should be home by 1:30 or 2. Just let me know who/how many and what time to expect you. I live only 10-12 minutes from LS and DG.

wouldn't a "vaginatarian" technically be considered a meat eater?

    PS
