My jaw is clenching with the amount of cocaine that is running through that show.

31 years ago today might be the best show I ever saw.

I never liked the sound of the boards from 82-84, especially Phil’s Bass. Everything is so flat and compressed, no dynamic range.
    There are certainly some exceptions.
    Anyone know why?

I don’t know why, but I agree in that most of those boards are not to my liking. That being said, there are so many great auds/fobs by rango, oades, etc, that I don’t really care

This was my wife's first show. As you can imagine, that's all it took. I think her brain melted as Dark Star took off and it never really came all the way back.

And matrixes. I've been listening to a lot of those lately.

This guy, Christopher Hazard, has been using artificial intelligence to clean up and upscale Grateful Dead and Jerry video into 4K resolution and syncing them with quality audio recordings.

Me too. Had no idea these were out there. Thank you for posting. It might be the closest thing I've seen to being there.

    Great stuff.

Although the AI is a little challenged by the older analog stuff
