That was a great run. So many moments in the memory banks from B.B. The h-s-f in particular. Then navigating the swamplands after the show, losing our ride, ...the adventures never stopped.
For some reason Frost 5/2/87 had escaped my ears...and I just got turned on to it. Holy shit is it good.

Is that the kid who died at the hand of Meadowlands security?

That was the beginning of the end for me. Scene was turning dark. Much different than 1983 when I went to my first show.
I can't even imagine the horror that kid went through.

That feeling when you discover (or rediscover, in my case) a show! 1970-6-24. Wow!

After the let down of the last Dave's Pick. The RFK boxset came last night. The multitrack recording really brings out Bobby ( who Healy would turn down in the mix). It's pretty darn good. Brent is in top form, and if I'm not mistaken (didn't look it up) I hear Hornsby on piano.

That tour ripped. I missed rfk but saw foxboro, buf and giants.
Apparently Hornsby played accordion during some of the first set (yawn) and keys only on women r

I was at all three Easter shows at Irvine, missed the other WC spring tour shows then did the whole Rocky Mtn summer tour so saw the last 3 Red Rocks Shows, both Telluride and Park West. These 6 mountain shows were fucking awesome, best I saw out of ~90 or so. That Park West show was so chill and such a killer scene being on private property so we could do pretty much anything we wanted without worry about the UT tough legal scene. Leaving was another story, it was a solid line of cars pulled over heading to I80 but we went the other way to head home to Steamboat. I flew home for a few days to catch a couple of shows on the EC tour and saw three at MSG in September then saw two of the three at Shoreline in October. That whole year was filled with absolutely awesome shows, glad I saw so many. I would debate whether the 5/2 show was better than Easter, 8/11 on the Rocks or 8/20 at Park West.
