Level 1 Visits Haines
Thought I would share this here: (no embed)
http://espn.go.com/action/freeskiing/blog?post=4455574
This was a first time experience for most of us, and a personal dream come true. And this edit doesn't show it all...there are plenty of great lines not shown (as well as the crashes and one very-close call that was not captured). And I'd like to give a shout out to the TGR boys up there- they do it PROPER and offered some supportive advice from their 15+ years of experience up there...they pretty much lay claim to the Chilkats. Anyway, Enjoy. -FreedleLast edited by Freedle; 09-08-2009 at 11:51 PM.

Watching all that footage from Haines made me hard. Meanwhile I'm stuck in school till December...

Easy there Scott, believe it or not Steele is one of the most calculated skiers I know. Just because he misjudged a cliff on his first trip to Valdez last year does not make him an "idiot". But anyway, he was not on this trip.

such a sick vid and the one before it is redic... but i think i heard the worst quote from a skier ever in the utah vid when wallisch says " it's not fun to ski in when it's dumping" I have been a "park skier my whole life but thats gotta be the dumbest shit i've ever heard. i respect the guy no doubt but shit if u don't like skiing neck deep, as it shows, then just call ur self a rollerblader. check out the videohttp://espn.go.com/action/freeskiing/blog?post=4390261

I concur- some of the best days skiing in my life have been when it is nuking, even better when your tracks reset every run. (Just gotta stick to the trees for some visibilty). Certainly a controversial statement...

Freedle. Is that you. Sweet photos on espn! I look forward to catching up some time.
