    Level 1 Visits Haines

Thought I would share this here: (no embed)

This was a first time experience for most of us, and a personal dream come true. And this edit doesn't show it all...there are plenty of great lines not shown (as well as the crashes and one very-close call that was not captured). And I'd like to give a shout out to the TGR boys up there- they do it PROPER and offered some supportive advice from their 15+ years of experience up there...they pretty much lay claim to the Chilkats. Anyway, Enjoy. -Freedle

Easy there Scott, believe it or not Steele is one of the most calculated skiers I know. Just because he misjudged a cliff on his first trip to Valdez last year does not make him an "idiot". But anyway, he was not on this trip.

I concur- some of the best days skiing in my life have been when it is nuking, even better when your tracks reset every run. (Just gotta stick to the trees for some visibilty). Certainly a controversial statement...

Well if you were really core you would like that quote because it would be keeping more people out of the lines and powder that you wanna ski, JONG.

Btw Freedle Wiley Miller absolutely killed it up there, but why didn't you take him last year?

Wiley does kill! and he was definitely ready to go last year- but the crew plans and his travel budget did not allow for it. Damn good thing it was a priority for him this year.
