How to make wine at home
Even if you don't have any interest in making wine, I get paid per click through on this article, so if you could take a sec I'd be very grateful and will buy you a glass of "real" wine sometime.

I made two batches of wine as a 12yo. I didn't drink them but my parents confirmed that it was vile. One batch was from shop brought 'must', the other I squeezed from terrible grapes from my grandparents vine.
I was looking at some wine & beer making kits in a shop yesterday and would like to make some more in the future. I don't have the space right now, maybe one day.

cool article, if i can add a little advice - if you are using white varietals leaving the skins in throughout the fermentation will probably add excessive tannin levels.

I been making kit wines for the last 10 years ,I would say probably 200 doz in the last 10 years and only had 1 cloudy bottle of white
I was making 2 batches at a time in my kitchen ,I put it up on an IKEA rack in the kitchen and it wasn't that hard finding the room
buy the best kits you can ,I only buy the over 100$ kits and if I buy in bulk the dealer gives me 10% off ,still only costs about 4$ a bottle and if you buy shit you have to drink ...shit.
IMO the real crux move with kits is you got to be there to transfer from primary to secondary fermentor ,if the action stops and there is no Co2 protecting your juice air will get at it ... air & bacteria is your enemy
red needs to sit for a LONG time to be decent at least a year two is better while white is pretty good right away ...I have taken to doing mostly whites and will probably end up buying reds and just making white

probably the best ehow I've read so far. Most of those articles strike me as having been written by a drunk 4 year old with ADHD

That's a good question. I suppose if it were just per click, I could sit at home and click my way to riches.
("Riches" being a relative term. I think ehow pays something ridiculous like $.001 per click)

I didn't read the article. My friend read the article years ago, so I let him make the wine.
