The Russian River distributor in CO is now allowing keg sales of Pliny and Blind Pig to liquor stores for the first time as the demand for kegs has cratered. Been enjoying Blind Pig on tap. Classic West Coast IPA. 1/2bbls only though so you have to step up your beer game.

Equilibrium is making some great beers. This one came in and sold out in a day.

I don’t usually mention (or spam?) my store on here, but if people either don’t want to go to a beer store, or are not in an area with good beer, we ship nationwide to 26 states ( look on the FAQ page for the list of states). If your state isn’t listed, send me a pm and I’ll put it through anyways. I can do a small mag discount on shipping, use code ship20 in checkout. Site is thecraftbeercenter.com , new brews come in Tuesday’s and Friday’s every week.
    Nice!

FWIW, quite a few of the cool Cali breweries are shipping, but only throughout CA

5 gallons, so about 48 x 12 ounce beers, but I filled a case of 12 oz bottles and then used 24 oz bottles for the rest.

Interesting. Heard Superior Liquors has a few. I have a kegerator that was just returned to me, wheels are spinning.

Hey what happened to Binky? His Hop Hand was strong and I haven't seen him post in a long while.

    AD Brewing Rye IPA.
It's good, but not my best effort. I think I went a little heavy on the bittering hops (Amarillo), so there's not much subtlety to this beer. Clocks in around 5.6% alcohol. Used Centennial for a finishing hop. Only 1/2 lb rye, so it's not real evident.

Amarillo has so much more to offer as a late addition. I'd rather use something cheaper and less interesting for bittering. Usually CTZ, Chinook, or Cascade or just no hops till whirlpool and a big dry hop.

Yes, I agree now. I think that was about $6 worth of Amarillo whole leaf hops in the kettle. I have to say I don't really understand the "no hops in the boil" philosophy, though.

You still get some bitterness, just not a lot of undesirable flavors and more muted, you get a lot more good flavor and aroma by moving them to the end. I've done a few pale ales, and all of my neipa's this way.

99% sure I have posted this one before, but it's one of my few sure bet go-tos, especially when I can find it relatively fresh, in regards to BOD.
Plus they changed the can design since the last time I drank it.
This is a solid WC-styled brew.

Stopped at Track 7 on a pilgrimage down to RR for the Pliny release a couple years ago. Tried every IPA they were pouring - all were excellent.

    Nice.
I have yet to visit the brewery.
I had a DIPA of their's the other night, but am pretty sure it was a bit skunked (it was 2 months past the BOD). That's the extent of my Track 7 tastings to date.
They had a blood orange infused IPA on tap at one of the local ski areas a few years ago, but I never managed to find the time to try it and they have never carried Track 7 on tap after that (cans of Panic, yes, but newer varieties on tap, no).

In fact, the only Sacramento breweries I have visited so far are:
    New Glory
    Jack Rabbit
Device (but only their mid-town taproom)

Have talked about taking a Sac trip with a crew, getting some cheap hotel rooms, and spending a few days hitting the plethora of breweries in that area for a few years now, but that plan is on hold until the foreseeable future...
