Had that on tap tonight. It was clearer than I expected.

I enjoyed the Four Quarters Equations of Time more.

PRS where you out of? Grew up in Medfield, dad’s in Medway now. Home from SLC~1x/year and hit startline and Trillium, exhibit a, etc. Weymouth sounds exciting.

Southeastern Mass between Providence and Fall River off 195. If you haven't been there you need to add Medusa to your list. Also Aeronaut, Idle Hands and Mystic.

Having grown up in Weymouth, I can tell you the only thing exciting about it is figuring out whether my old classmates died from a heroin overdose or got stabbed over oxy, but I got out before all the breweries went in so maybe that's changed.

I had Four Quarters Phaze IPA on tap yesterday. 6.5% ABV. Hugely impressed.

Had the UP H2H#5 last night and gotta admit I'm Relatively disappointed with it ". Light, with a pilsner/Bavarian skunky finish. Not a fan. Rare miss from Them.

Their clemency dipa on draft was good.

Had a neighbor gift me a Heady Topper. Was good, but not "OMG this is the best beer ever made" good.

I like a number of New England brewing's options better.

Topper has been around for a long time. So, while arguably ahead of the game a bit impressing many in the early years it is now surpassed by countless other dipas.

I still enjoy a nice fresh Heady or 2 out of the can. Like you said freshness is key.

Batches of Heady can be hit or miss sometimes. I buy it often and few times its been a little below par but I got a batch lately that was just classic Heady perfection.

I also a Bissell Bros Subby recently that didn't quite taste as amazing as I remembered.

    "Citra Mango Milkshake"
    Moonrker Brewing Company, Auburn, CA
Ingredients: Mango, Citra Hops, Vanilla Beans, and Lactose
    IBU: 30
    BOD: 1/23/19
    Last Drink Date: 2/10/19

    My first milkshake IPA.
    Very interesting.
Smooth and creamy, like a mango creamsicle, but with a nice, mellow bitter finish.
Tasted pretty damn good with a spicy bowl of quinoa, brown rice, broccoli, and cauliflower...

    "Y33" (formerly known as "Yojo 33 1/3")
    Moonraker Brewing Company, Auburn, CA
    ABV: 7.0%
    Hops: Mosaic and Simcoe
    IBU: 50
    BOD: 1/17/18

One of the standard brews (i.e. popular) from this celebrated Northern California brewery. Very drinkable N/E-inspired haze. Great balace of fruit flavor (kind of a papaya hint) and bitterness.

Why does a CT brewery, with a beer titled New England, have idaho on the logo?
    Thats puzzling.

Finally got to try Pliny the Younger over the weekend. I haven't bothered in the past (didn't want to wait in line) but the haze craze seems to have dropped the amount of interest. Walked right in after a 1pm tapping and grabbed a pour. Fantastic. Definitely the best TIPA I've had. Couldn't taste the 10% at all. Finish just kept on going. Been burned out on hazy beer and this is exactly what I needed. Worth waiting in line? Nope.

Also stoked to see that Colorado is finally getting Blind Pig in bottles. Much prefer it to Elder.

Because, as it states on the can, the beer is brewed with Idaho 7 Hops.

I loved Blind Pig the few times I've had it. Sadly, it's almost impossible to find here in my part of Cali (I've been to a few liquor stores listed on the brewery website, but none ever seem to have it in stock), except at the brewery, which is a bit of a haul, in terms of driving...
And, yeah, I prefer it to both Elder and Younger (never really understood the "craze" behind those two anyway...but beer is very much like music, art, and film: to each their own tastes).
