*Update: Excellent....really good/refreshing/juicy...taste a lot like/very similar to beers we’ve had at Foam. Will make for a nice Friday night before school starts Tuesday....

Made a deal with neighbor...monthly Treehouse deliveries from him (works out of Boston)...and monthly VT deliveries from us.

Oh and BC you are about to have the experience of a lifetime. Treehouse is ridiculously good. Big daddy, if you are reading this we need to do another beer swap.

A big amen on the Treehouse. I’m not an East Coaster so it’s really hard for me to get. Running low and sad about it.

Found some Foam my brother in law left in the fridge.
Says to drink fresh so I guess I’ll have to finish them over the next few days.
    Dead Wax to start. Tasty.

Got some of the fresh hop sterling pils and fresh trap IPA at Breakside. Both are absurdly good!

    Avenida Modern IPA
    Alaro Craft Brewery, Sacramento, CA
    ABV: 7.2%
    Hops: El Dorado, Mosaic, Centennial
    Malts: 2-Row, Munich

Not quite sure what they mean by a "modern" IPA as this was what I would consider to be a classic WC IPA in the vein of RRB's Blind Pig.
Pretty straight forward with a clean bitter finish; like I said, "classic".

    Sticky Flowers West Coast IPA
    Slice Beer Co., Lincoln, CA
    ABV: 7.2%
Hops: Strata, Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic Cryo

This is the new brewery (opened in November 2019) started by the former lead/founding brewer of Moonraker Brewing in Auburn. The small brewery is located in downtown Lincoln and IPAs, both WC and NE styles, are their forte.
This one was nice and clean and crisp with just a bit of fruitiness at the start and an even, mellow bitterness at the finish.

Fremont Field to Ferment with Centennial and Sabra hops. The hops are picked and put into the brew kettle on the same day. Canned on 9/17 so this is a very fresh beer. Tasted like eating hop cones. I love Centennial hops, but not so sure about Sabra. I'm not really a huge fan of tropical hop flavors. Still, this is a tasty beer! 6.0% ABV, 50 IBU.

Sabro hops you mean? They are bred from neomexicanus hops that grew by themselves completely removed from other hop varieties for thousand of years in New Mexico. Kinda interesting. Just brewed a beer with ElDo in the whirlpool and Sabro in the dry hop. We will see how it comes out.

I’m likely heading to the west side next week for work. Hoping to pick up some new stuff to bring back. Any good bottle shops or breweries I should check out around Olympia?

Mosaic Fresh Hop from Stemma Brewing, who have only been in business for a little more than a year, but have been killing it on the hophead front.
