some damn good IPA's out there
Had that on tap recently, ordered it on a whim and it blew my mind. I’ve been keeping an eye out for it in a can - now I’m more motivated to find it.

Ha, employees hoarding the stash! Much like Hank, mniaw and I had it on tap locally one night maybe 6-7 months ago knowing nothing about it and were hooked. Another choice brewery 10 minutes from my house, unreal times.

nvm, Skookum Glow Inc. on deck. Skookum slays most everyone in the PNW right now in terms of high volume quality.

Finally visited THE BREWING LAIR yesterday.
Forgot to take pix as we had a large group and were pouncing around the 9-hole disc golf course in-between enjoying their small, but righteous selection of beers.
They had 5 on tap:
A Belgian
and then 4 IPAs, one of which was a Black IPA
I had the four IPAs and they were all solid, West Coast styled with even hop flavors and crisp finishes. The Black IPA was a bit more leaning toward the lager spectrum, but had a hoppy hint that lurked underneath the malt.

Quick stop at Tree House today. I’m going to make some friends pretty happy when they come over.
Went with a Green for a taste test.

Stopped by the new Beantown Trillium brewing tasting room. 1 1/2 hour wait for a table so I grabbed a few 4 packs and bounced.

Smart move. That place is senselessly mobbed and their beer is illogically revered. It is not bad per se but I don’t get it. Menu very over priced too but they need to cover the cost of that place. That said, I hope you enjoy what you picked up. I think they may still be working the kinks out of new brewing system but I don’t have the patience for their batch inconsistencies esp at their retail pricing. Those inconsistencies have always existed imho. I’ve had Congress St that tastes like someone packed mint leaves into my beer whereas I’ve have batches I’ve loved. Don’t like the gamble.

Trillium makes a million different IPAs and I’m convinced it’s all the same beer but in different cans.

Not too far off given the Columbus IPA that seems to be the base of almost every hoppy beer they make. All the street series anyway. Same beer different dry hop varieties. I don’t love Columbus so perhaps a big reason I’ve never fully gelled w their beer. Do love a Fort Point Pale when the batch quality delivers.
I often describe their beer as “hop potpourri”Uno mas
