A collaboration they did with Alchemist that's made it into regular production.

    It never disappoints.

Tasty AF glass of gizzed up pineapple juice!! (In response to gladmasters post). I love the carbonation in this thing. Something I find lacking in a lot of juice bombs Click image for larger version.

Not sure where you are located, but the "clear" West Coast-styled IPA has not gone out of style here in Cali. Plenty of breweries still offer "Old School" IPAs along with hazes.

To wit, I hit up the oldest local brewery in my town, 50/50, the other night and they had no less than 3 "clear" IPAs on tap and only 1 haze...

As for me and my tastes, I spent roughly 2 years drinking nothing but hazes (yes, I succumbed to the "haze craze") and earlier this year I found that I had gotten sick of them. My remedy? I now stock my fridge with equal amounts N/E and W/C IPAs and alternate; so if I have a hazy IPA today, then I'll have a West Coast IPA tomorrow. Helps keep the palate on edge.

Some of my go-to "transparent" IPAs are:

"Integral" from Device Brewing in Sacramento, CA
"Animal" from Fort Point Brewing in San Francisco, CA
"Breaking Bud" from Knee Deep in Auburn, CA
"Ryedahoe" from Alibi Ale Works in Incline Village, NV
"Joyrider" from Out of Bounds in Rocklin, CA
"Chemtrails" from Hen House Brewing in Santa Rosa, CA
"Outrigger" from Moonraker Brewing in Auburn, CA
"Wanderlust" and "Breakside" from Breakside Brewing in Portland, OR

I'm in western Washington. The "dump a thick load of man milk in some fruit juice" trend is running hot and heavy up here at the moment.

Breakside is one of my go-to breweries for less hazy beers, try their "Stay West" if you haven't yet. I also believe that Stoup brewing in Seattle does some more "west coast" style IPAs. Although as someone who cut their IPA teeth on beers like Bell's Two Hearted Ale, Short's Huma Lupa Liscious and Founder's Centennial IPA, I take some issue with the "West Coast" moniker. I suppose I'll allow "old school."

I've been drinking a lot of hazy IPA over the last couple of years too, and I do enjoy them, but I'm starting to get a little burned out on the low IBU, fruit forward, minimally carbonated (usually) NE IPA's. But on that note, I'm about 15 minutes away from cracking a "Chuck's Notion" from Great Notion Brewing in Portland, which is a hazy IPA.

Canned 11/07/18, so it's getting near the end of it's lifespan. It is delicious for a hazy IPA.

So that's about 1.5-2 cases worth. I would be in the same boat if I had found it sooner, but with an 11/07 BoD on all the cans I saw, I managed to dodge that spending bullet. Might have to make a routine of swinging by Chuck's once a month or so though.

Canned on 8/10/18, bought perhaps a week or so after canning date when I was visiting the folks in Napa and found it at the local Whole Foods.
I drank my last can on 9/18/18 and it was starting to get a wee bit long-in-the-tooth (but earlier cans I drank were really tasty).

Hops: dry-hopped with Mosaic, Simcoe, Citra
    Malt: Pilsner, Pale, Oats, Spelt
    ABV:6.6%
    IBU: ?
Very citrusy, both in aroma and taste. Bitter melon rind finish. Color is a light straw, bordering more on yellow. Just a good, solid W/C hazy IPA utilizing the trio of pretty standard hops.

We’ve had this in the store for a few weeks now and I’m just getting around to trying one before they were all gone. First Nod Hill brew I’ve had, it’s really good. I always think anything over 8% is a bit too much or too sweet, but this is a great 8.7% double.

Sorry, no BOD...drank this earlier in the year.
It is unpasturized and unfiltered, so I know I drank it well within 28 days of canning.
Getting a bit hard to get here in Truckee and the brewery is kind of lame in terms of their online presence (i.e. as far as I've been able to discren, they don't post can releases on FB or IG and they are pretty bad about answering emails...guess they are too busy brewing, which is good, but also a bummer for those of us not in the immediate area that dig their brews). Bit of a hassle to score as Nevada City is an hour + away and the road can be "interesting" when snow falls.

Totally dig it as it tweaks the standard hop coagulation of hazes (Galaxy/Citra/Mosaic/Amarillo) with Motueka and has a fuller, creamier taste (at least to my palate).

They just opened a gastro-pub deal at the Five Mile House on 20, still a hike from Truckee but at least you don't have to go that last half hour into through town...

On a related note, anyone know how to tell if an IPA used hop extracts? I can get a killer headache from some IPAs and I've been told it can be from extracts
