Has St. Archers, from San Diego, been mentioned here yet? If not, solid beer. One of the best IPAs I've tasted.
Daniel Ortega eats here.

They show a "Taos" pub. I wonder what that is...maybe Eske's because they don't mention his and he's been there for a long time. There sure are a shitload of brew pubs out there, damn.
The little one by me, Blue Lobster, just fired the head brewer in a corporate kind of way. Meaning he shows up for work and his key doesn't open the door and the owner comes out hands him his personal shit and last paycheck...see ya! Something went down!

Black label was very good, but not as good this year as in previous years. 2012 Black Label was incredible - like a F/W Double Jack on papaya steroids. Less tropical and more raisin going on this year.

Left Hand 400 lb monkey was interesting. British/english style they claim, but although it is maltier and with earthier hops, it doesn't taste "British" to me, but it taste pretty good.

While I am usually immersed in Missoula IPA's, I ventured outside what the valley had to offer and had a Tumbleweed IPA from Helena. Could be one of my new favorites.

Would a generous Mag be willing to send me a couple Heady Toppers? I'd be very much appreciative and could $ or reciprocate with a midwest specialty...such as KBS, Black Note, Hopslam.

I just bought the Sierra Nevada mixed case of IPA's at the local megastore...
Torpedo: You've all had this one. It exceeds my hop ceiling by just a bit. Not one I'd buy by the 12 pack. Great color though...
Nooner: Session IPA. My favorite of the bunch. Solid, balanced.
Blindfold: Black IPA. My 2nd choice. Bold and balanced.
Snow Wit: White IPA. Yuck. last choice. I don't like white beers in general, add a shitload of hops and make it super bitter...and I'm out.
So I probably won't buy that case again, only a 50% approval rate.
Some others I tried;
Leinie's Hoppin' Helles: Not much of an IPA. Just kinda tastes like a lager with a very little hop flavor. Stick to the Sunset Wheat and Shandies guys...
And, drumroll please......
Sixpoint Bengali Tiger: Yessssss, and it's good! What a great, complex flavor. Packs a punch too. Deep amber color. Best in show.

That's been one of my favorites for years.
Calicraft has finally started doing IPAs. Will post a report when I open mine.
I was in Jackson last week and drank some stuff that's hard to get out here:
Avery DuganA - wow, I really miss this beer. Not quite so much Satsuma mandarin as I remember from my last experience, this time more orange peels soaked in pine oil with a hint of roses - man really good flavor with less flowers and more citrus from Maharajah
Odell's Myrcenary - Really nice, less thick of a mouthfeel than what I remember when I had it a year ago, but just a nice blend of flowery nose, strong hops, smooth malt, which is well done for a 9% beer.
Wow, on a roll!_______________________________________________

Vortex IPA from Fort George. One of my favorite IPAs and brewed 15miles from my home town. Great fresh citrusy hop taste, if the super hoppy stuff isn't your cup of tea I doubt you'll like this (blows torpedo out the water). It has a nice malt backbone, smooths it out but doesn't take away from the hoppy goodness or leave the bready aftertaste I hate. 7.7% ABV and IBUs in the high 90's if I remember correctly. Really bummed I can't get it anymore since I moved from Oregon.
