    I know...lol...I’m not known for my opinions.....sorry.

I used to be an Alchemist Focal/Heady guy, but lately going for the “other breweries”....these beers I picked up this past week by Foley and BBCO are impressive. Great taste...smooth...would recommend to at least try. Typical NE IPA’s....clean, fresh.

My favorite out of this latest stash was the BBCO “Uncanny Valley”...that was really hazy, great taste, very refreshing. Practically chugged it. Had a nice kick to start the evening.

Excellent taste! I live less than 10 minutes from the brewery and never get tired of Uncanny...when I have 1 left I head to the brewery to refill. Easily near the top of the list of best ipa's in NE or anywhere else.

Odd 13 IPA brewed with Vanilla. Weird, but not terrible. Not my fave though. Shit is getting weird out there these days. Had a Weldworks milkshake IPA with spruce tips the other day and it actually was kinda OK.

some damn good IPA's out there

Speaking of Treehouse, I just had New Decade and 90s

New Decade was just a bit syrupy, somewhat juicy, well balanced, but tasted a little bigger than I thought it would, both for abv and fully profile. But I’d recommend. Very well done.

90s was fun, medium body, almost a light mouthfeel, not super juicy. Well put together, but not as pleasing as a sap or very Green. Still, recommend both.

I’d love to try Perfect Storm. Glad to hear it was tasty.

Got swamped at work in Nov/Dec and was just a complete slacker in Jan (plus I got the "Ski School Crud" sinus/throat infection that lasted almost 2 months), so my beer imbibing (and posting of such) dropped off considerably...bringing back a li'l West Coast flavor to this thread!

Here's one I had back in early November 2019.

Collab between Karl Strauss and AleSmith:

Not sure if I have posted this one before, but it's a really solid hybrid W/C-N/E quasi-hazy from a brewery located smack dab in the immediate outskirts of downtown Reno (just around the corner from the police station!).

Deep amber in color with a little bit of murkiness. Mildly sweet upfront with a nice, refined bitter hop finish. Really, really tasty if you can snag it fresh, either on tap or in cans.

    PS:
I think the name is stupid, but I can kinda forgive it because the beer itself is super tasty.

can says: A slushee-style sour NEIPA. Dry-hopped with El Dorado and tons of Vic Secret, it was later blended with passionfruit and pineapple purees.

Thanks for caring (and for sharing)!

I'mma take a break from the wayback machine (i.e. posting the tasty brews I tossed down into the gullet the past 3 months, but of which I didn't post anything yet) and get into it with tonight's libatory selection:

I call tonight's imbibing "I Left My IPA In El Segundo"...

"Radioactive Fallout" - Hazy India Pale Ale
    El Segundo Brewing Company
    ABV: 6.5%
Hops: Citra, Mosaic, Nelson, Amarillo, Simcoe, Centennial
    BOD: 1/15/20
    Drink Date: 2/11/20

Drinking Soundtrack: Gomez - Out West [Live at the Fillmore, San Francisco] (Disc 2)

This is the kind of West-Coast brewed Northeast/New England Hazy IPA that I dig: citrusy upfront with a clean bitter finish. No clue what the IBUs are, but they ain't in the low-end, that's for sure (guessing in the 40-50 range).
Great can art, too (especially if you are a post-apocalyptic nerd).

Film Recommendations (what to watch whilst imbibing this brew):
    Mad Max
    The Road Warrior
    Hell Comes To Frogtown
    Turbo Kid

some damn good IPA's out there

Red Barn brewing No Quarter out of Danville, VT

Technically a pale ale but not your typical hazy NE style. A little bitter, nice mix of malt and hop flavor, easy drinking at around 6%.

Have you had RRBC's "Happy Hops" IPA?

    It's pretty damn tasty...

    from the label:

"Happy Hops was originally brewed in 1944 by the Grace Brother's Brewery in Santa Rosa, CA. We are paying homage to the Grace family, whose brewery closed in the 1960's, and have revived "Happy," the charming hop character who graces the front of this label. Happy Hops is an IPA brewed with both new and old world hop varieties, giving this beer bold aromas and flavors with notes of tropical and stone fruits."

I posted a pic of the bottle and a poured glass along with a mini-review back in August:
    https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...03#post5743703

    PS:
Dig your picture. It looks like there's a nuclear apocalypse going down in the background and you're enjoying your last beer before being incinerated...
