Mine came yesterday, very well done. I just wish that it wasn't needed until 40 years from now.

    Thumbs up

Just got mine. Great tribute section. Last entry from JT left me just quiet for a while.
The JHAF article got me all amped for the film.
Buying guide was useless and necessary as usual.

Just dug through 6 bins at the Tattered Cover Bookstore to get this. All the way at the bottom of the last bin. Awesome job DT and crew! Currently sifting through every page. Say hi to everyone for me!

Grandpa acknowledges that Mr. McConkey was a good man and a giant of an innovator, probably the leader of his generation. But, with all due respect, only Sondre Norheim deserves the title "Most Influential Skier Ever." This is an example of recency bias. Grandpa seeks not to spoil the party, but to put things in proper perspective.

I hope you at least picked up a bag of chips while you were at the 7-11.

Showed up in my SF mailbox today but I almost wished it didn't seeing the portrait of Shane...

My only complaint is the degradation of paper quality in this issue.

Got mine yesterday in CT. Pleasant surprise that got me even more psyched for ski season (in spite of the 90 degree weather the EC is currently experiencing). Great tribute, gear overview, great Shane photos/stories, JHAF. Awesome.

I thought of this when we were putting the cover lines on, and I feel I can argue sufficiently for the accuracy of the statement. It's subjective and open to debate, but I feel I can defend it adequately.

Where can I get a copy in San Diego? Checked a few stores, including some surf/snowboard shops, but came up empty handed.

Personally, I like to believe that Shane was the reincarnation of Sondre Norheim.
That their passion for the mountains and snow were one and the same. I wouldn't be skiing w/o Sondre and I wouldn't enjoy skiing as much w/o Shane.
